The thing is if Slade goes then unless bloom has an immediate successor, god forbid Wise, then we have to put up with "The Dean and sideshow Bob show" for 3 games or so.

If Wise can bring in a winning mentality and shake the cosy set up I say bring it on. I don't care who is in the dug out if he gets reults for the club so lets stop this petty Wise shit just because he is short and no one likes him.

Just back.

A game of two halves, first half we dominated and were unlucky to only be 2-1 ahead. The timing of their first goal was crucial, they came in to half time bhoyed up by the goal where as we were deflated such was our dominance. The second half was all Yeovil, fired up by their noisy support a goal before half time and a roasting off of their manager. The penalty equaliser looked soft (shirt pulling I'm led to believe) when it came, and the result was just about fair.

I believe that we probably needed an old head to put their foot on the ball in the second half and slow the play down, and keep the ball.

kevtherevs diatribe at the top of the page looks harsh from my perspective, we were excellent in the first half, not so good in the second but KNOWHERE near as bad as last season. We've progressed.

Do you ever stop bloody moaning? ???

Funny, my missus says that!!....lets face it theres plenty to moan about, cant even blame a sending off this week........to be honest doug, id love something to be happy about, football wise at the moment, every Saturday my faith is restored and im full of hope, just to face the reality at ten to five, that we cant really be as bad as the results we are dishing up suggests, but 2 wins in 11, the excuses have got to stop and someones got to stand up and take responsibility for the results........havnt they?????

Its a shame a game of football is 90mins and not 45 isnt it??

Things will improve, just give it time. We have the players.

I agree, i think we do have the players....Question mark over Kuipers for me, id give Smith a run, he must be due it..The defence i thing will settle, i think Wright will end up with Tunnicliffe at ch with McNulty at lb....Need a midfield experenced general, Crofts could grow into role, and one more striker if Davies dosnt come back...The squad looks ok on the whole, it the manager and the coaching staff, are they good enough to coach these players or are the PLAYERS to good for them??

Yep, just back too, and agree with that. We were really good in the 1st. It was unfortunate to go in 2-1. The ref was obviously reacting to his first half booing by the home crowd. He gave Yeovil every little thing in the second.

Muzza had two good chances in the second half which, on another day with him not being 'rusty', he would have buried.

This is better than last year.

Well as someone who went to the match (which happens all to infrequently these days unfortunatly), I've come away gutted at blowing a two goal lead but relieved that my team isn't as bad as is described on here by some of our posters. A fit McNulty will make a difference to us, all of their most dangerous play came down the left where Jake Wright, a centre back, was filling in.

2 wins from 13 league and cup games is poor - but I'm still confident we'll stay up.

Tuesday's game though has now become vital. If we don't get a win from Gillingham, Tranmere, and Hartlepool then the position of RS might need to be considered, but I still think we should stick with him until Christmas. I'm confident things will improve.

Quite a remarkable post! How can you still support slades staying in the job, he proved once again today he is totally incomptetent.

I look at Slade, then I think about Wise and, suddenly, Slade seems to just get better in my mind.

The second half display was shockingly bad. We sat deeper and deeper and allowed an ordinary side to lay siege.
For me, it felt like a defeat.
To chuck away a two goal lead, when the side were totally on top was unprofessional ( how many times have we already used that phrase this season ? )
Jake Wright was an embarrassment at full back and certain midfielders went missing in the second half.
Tuesday night is a must win game and if we don't......its mounting pressure on Mr.Slade.

It occurred to me that Slade always identifies the problems, always addresses the shortcoming, and yet we always ...fall short the very next game.

So, is Sladey just really good at pointing out problems AFTER they happen, but crap at making sure of things BEFOREhand?

It's not looking good.

Or perhaps the players are struggling to put into practice his wishes?
Or perhaps he coaches are unable to coach according to slade's wishes?

After my first game this season, id say that was a point lost thanks to poor defending for the first goal, giving yeovil all the space in the world to beat 4 defenders with 1 pass to set them up for the goal, a very inconsistent and awful referee who didnt have a clue ie forsters booking which shouldnt have been, and generally route 1 football doing f*** all use to our offensive efforts in the 2nd half. Thught when cox came on and we passed ball along deck bit more we looked good and should do this more often. Had great day with Dazo, Conboy, Snoobs, SeagullTim, SeagullRic and the other lads, good to meet you all and look forward to you all coming to southampton next month which i will be at for sure!!

Also, after 1 game I can already see why Murray should start over dickinson, who in my opinion wasour worst player in the first half even though he got a goal. Poor touch trying to be too skilful ending up nowhere, never got to headers except from one occasion and generally poor. Very impressed with Tunnicliffe, and as he has my fav No. on his shirt i'm tempted to have it printed next time i'm at the albion shop!!

Your post and KNC have it right. Others can stamp their feet and have tantrums but it won't get Slade sacked. I don't believe for a minute that he told the players to sit back and let Yeovil come back at them. In fact in his interview, he looks pretty pissed off that is what happened.

Bloom will not sack Slade while he can see some signs of improvement. Continually changing managers does not bring success, look at Southampton. I am sure that Slade is aware that this team will not get us promotion and more changes will be needed. We do need a leader in midfield and an old head at the back to bring some organisation. It will take time.
