I was thinking about the worst players whilst with us,that I had seen in my years as a supporter. I think that it would be in an old fashioned 4 - 2 - 4 formation.

Mark Walton

Les Berry
Ross Johnson
Willie Young
Paul Sturgess

Warren Aspinall
Geoff Pitcher

Mark Farrington
Jamie Morallee
Richard Tiltman
Mahoney-Johnson (loan from QPR)

Thanks for the reminder BG, I had almost erased Les Berry from my memory, the fast reversing biggles lookylikey.

well said punisher, Ashley Neal for a start. Ross was a fairly decent defender for the level he played certainly not deserving of a place in out worst 11 ever. What next a suggestion that Gordon Smith be our worst ever player.....oh wait.

Who was defender who played once under Micky. Scored an own-goal & played a dreadful back-pass away to Brentford

Glen Johnson.

And how can you possibly not include Damian Hilton in this team?

I liked Ross Johnson.

Agree with a lot of those already listed, but anybody remember Kevan Brown (yes, that was how he spelt it). Hard pushed to think of a worse right back.

Also is there a place for Mick Fergusson?

Mental blip apologies to Ross Johnson it was Glen Thomas that I was thinking of at Brentford.

Also agree about Ashley Neal and Damien Hilton but you can only put 11 players in a team perhaps I should have named the subs aswell.

If we are including loaness then Pedderson or Petterson, whatever his name was, definately wins the number one spot.

Jamie Campbell?

Pitcher and Aspinall are a bit unfair as one was never given a chance and I thought Aspinal did ok when he was used.

I'd have Ray McHale in midfield. Came from Swindon I think and was supposed to replace Horton but never really hacked it.

I think they both showed what they were

Pitcher an average conference or Rymans League player.

Aspinall a has been who carried on too long by playing for us , was good player in his younger days but not with us.

Glenn Thomas, surely? The most embarrassed I've ever been as an Albion fan.

Any of these recurring lists of worst Albion sides evah without him on it are not worth sweet pissola, if you ask me.

Definitely Glen Thomas and Ashley Neal would be in the defence and I'd have Simon Royce in goal personally.

Midfield could be packed but Mike Trusson would be in there for me - he was absolutely shite. Agree that Ray McHale was pants.

Mark Farrington would 'lead' the line up front with probably Teddy Maybank, although Andy Kennedy would not be far behind.

The team would be managed either by Jeff Wood or Martin Hinshelwood!

All of those players played for us between 1997 and 1998. How did I survive those days? Why did I go to so many games back then?
