Worthing
Zak Starkey was Keith Moon's godson. One day, when Zak, as an aspiring young drummer, asked Keith how he played a 'Keith Moon-type fill' on a drumkit with only three toms, instead of teaching him, he gave him a Keith Moon drumkit. Apocryphal tale, I'm sure and would love it to be true.

Interesting to see people still believing the Daily Express, I see.

Thankfully he didn't get his dad to teach him.

Zak Starkey turned down the permanent drummer's job with The Who and Oasis.

I am afraid there are not that many of us old Brighton boys left on NSC Tuby. Did he go up the Scene on Saturday nights as well?

Yes, I have just had a chat with my father and yes he did go to the Scene. He also mentioned The Couldron on (he thinks) Preston Street, The Quadrant and The Starlight Rooms on Montpelier. Annie Nightingale was sometimes seen at the latter as she lived close by.

I also mentioned the Lorelei being a gay haunt....he never knew this, he just thought they were a bit theatrical.

Made in 1973?? haha it was made in 1979, i should know i was in it.

No it wasn't it was made in October 1978 and I should because me and my old man were in it in the Wimpy on a Friday afternoon in East Street. TBH honest can't quite see us though.

And me, my sister and my parents watched the old black mariah/ or Oxford, swing around in to East Street the previous Sunday watched it over and over for about an hour countless times in the final cut for about an 3 seconds.
