37.2° at 1pm in mid-Derbyshire compared to 32.3 at same time yesterday - just been out to get some lunch and it's like stepping into an oven.
40c exceeded at Heathrow
It's always Heathrow.
I don't suppose hundreds of jet engines help much.
Is there a current record for Sussex?
According to the Met Office, the current record for the hottest temperature in Sussex is 35.6C, recorded on July 19, 2006 in the village of Wiggonholt, near Pulborough.
It's only 39°C in Dubai today.
I'm going to Heathrow for my holidays.
I believe this has already been beaten as West Wittering had temperatures higher than that earlier.
Really?? That sounds awful. Does it work? I would have thought naked feet all the way.
