It would help if there were some stand out good singers but there has been nobody on it that has taken the limelight in the manner that Leona Lewis or Susan Boyle did who were both obviously very good singers right from their initial performance.

But the two examples you've picked were the best singers in their series - in fact, possibly in all series put together. You're comparing that to 1 episode.

Cowell has just said something about someone being the best thing he has ever heard - he says it every year and he has dropped virtually every act he has signed on this crap.

I don't generally watch these programmes. When they are on, I sit at the computer headphones in, oblivious to what is on the box. Same scenario tonight, just happened to turn around and caught a glimpse of this guy singing,

They immediately struck a chord as being very good and it showed. Nobody on tonights show stood out as being good, perhaps it will improve and a star will emerge.

The whole fun with these reality shows is when they go through all the dregs of society and we laugh at them, Victorian freak show style. The Voice only seemed to do half decent or mediocre, and the turning of the chairs doesn't seem to make a lot of sense either, they all seemed to be waiting for someone else to go first, and then all follow suite as soon as they did.

Bring back Noel's House Party. Blobby Blobby Blobby, and all that.

As many have said the fat 17 year old chap on BGT was absolutely outstanding and was far better than anybody on the voice. Sorry its late but I have just watched it as wife recorded it.
