What is the general opinion of the new talent show on BBC. I must say I am not impressed with the standard of the singers and not over keen on the format of the show. Much prefer X Factor.

Same here.
Nice to have a TV singing show that's not overtaken by bullshit sob stories and is actually about singing.
Very little, to judge from his posts on here.
He comes across as a completely miserable old man.

It would help if there were some stand out good singers but there has been nobody on it that has taken the limelight in the manner that Leona Lewis or Susan Boyle did who were both obviously very good singers right from their initial performance.

I thought the idea though was that all that crap was out of the way.

Prefer this a lot more than the X Factor - shows you could be ugly as fcuk but still get picked.
And dont even get me started on Britains Got Talent - loads of crap after last years.

We even had the obligatory fake tears from the female judge. Switched off at that point so can't comment on the rest.

The voice is boring, but the X Factor is an abomination...filling our ears with the worst kind of mass produced shit and filling Cowell's pockets with even more money...I utterly despise it...

Its all shit - opium for the people, designed to create a platform for advertisers to sell to women and children.
Cowell has just said something about someone being the best thing he has ever heard - he says it every year and he has dropped virtually every act he has signed on this crap.
