Quite an extensive OP.
However his value to Ostersund and Swansea at the end of the day are irrelevant to Brighton. He has got his pat on the back for his achievements at his previous clubs by landing the Brighton job on the strength of them.
To have any value to Brighton he has to keep them in the PL. Otherwise he immediately knocks £120m in value off the Balance Sheet next year.
The points haul to date is absolutely fine. A point per game average till the end of the season is easily achievable and it he atains that then he is a success. Anything less and he isn't. That's the stark reality.
Comes across as a nice bloke but he isn't learning from his mistakes defensively. In fact. He isn't even learning from his successes. By that I mean. When he brings Duffy back into a 3 man central defence it yealds at least a point and the last win if I an correct had Duffy and Dunk at the heart of a 3 man central defence.
Now I don't think he is 100% to blame on the inconsistent selections. I have a feeling he might be overly influenced on that front.
If that is the case then he needs to start taking 100% responsibility and start to be open to adapting to a formation that yields points rather than trying to tickle the ears of TV Pundits because staying in the PL is what he will ultimately be judged on whether others above him like it or not
