In years to come, it will surely be referred to as "The Groß turn".

Essentially, it's an example of where the cover version is better than the original.

I shouted Cruyff turn just before he did it. I think we all expect it but the opposition don’t see it coming.

Pascal is contractually obliged to produce at least on Cruyff turn per game.
The reason they work is because his pace is deceptive.

He's slower than he looks.

I said to my work colleagues the other day that I reckon he must hold the record for the slowest Cruyff turn. But it works every time, it's amazing.

a galaxy far far away
The reason it works is because he has a very decent left foot cross.

Defenders know this and have no choice but to cover it.

The first Gross turn of a match is a special highlight for me and I look forward to them immensely. Everyone knows he's going to do it, even the opposition, and still he gets away with it. Magic.

The two in quick succession in the first half were hilarious! I think he made himself dizzy and just pinged the ball behind the goal line. Classic.

Who’s better at it groß or cruyff

Don’t opposition defenders what videos any of their opponents anymore? My Gross-Dar is pretty strong and I just know now when he’s going to do it, great technique but it’s not exactly rapid, which is why I can’t understand how so many athletes fall the trickery

I’m still gobsmacked by it. Works every time. Literally. How can defenders not see it coming? How?

We cheered the one in the first half only for him to then shank the ball behind :)
