So is colchester on a southern line? i.e can we use the 4 train tickets for £20 to colchester, as we did to MK Dons?

I think you need to get a map out and use the Trains more regularly.
why does he? If you dont use trains that regularly you could be excused for asking whether milton keynes and colchester were both in the 'southern ' area couldnt you.
You can take a national express coach from Brighton to colchester for only £23.00, only problem is it departs at 0815 and arrives at 1340! 5 hours and 25 minutes!
and you cant drink,i dont think anyone could put themselves through 5 hours on a nat express to a footie match
I could and am! (probably)

£21 on the Costa Express.
4 of us did it to Leeds. Not a fun journey at all but hardly cost us anything.
yeah i can understand if your skint and book in advance, could be a laugh, you can get coaches from london from £1 to basically anywhere so its an option.but if you have the option of paying a pound more on train you probably take it.
Sounds horrific.
