has there ever been a more c*ntish start to a programme?

I hate the way they stroll up to the camera looking quizzical, it makes me want to smash the telly up. David Mitchell has disappointed me, his relentless march towards TV ubiquity and therefore an inevitable public backlash continues apace. Shame as he is so funny.

I couldnt give a f*** that beaky off Big Brother's grandad knew Dreyfuss, or that Chris Moyles is (unsurprisingly) related to a load of micks who lived in a ditch. Its worth watching just to get the blood pressure up though. There hasnt been a good one since Vic Reeves and his humdrum but eccentric family.

Easy option don't watch it

BH has a point though Spanish.
In this day of multiple channels, streaming online, DVDs and their availability, and other forms of entertainment, you have too many choices.
Why watch one you don't like for whatever reason, when you can press a button on the remote and see something else?

Life isn't even long enough to even watch everything that IS interesting and worthwhile, without focusing on the crap that isn't.

You forget, this is NSC. The sort of bod who posts on a footy message board will watch any old gash - goes with the territory.

Anyone know when the next repeat showings of Road Wars or Redcoats are on?
;)

I can see why you'd have a needless pop at someone for starting a thread on IPhone apps.

This is a far more relevant subject.

I love it. Starting a thread complaining about a program you DECIDE to watch.

I thought it quite amusing last night watching Moyles find out his ancestors all lived in the slums and workhouses, the cap definitely fits in this case.

It's worse than that. He's moaning about the title sequence for a programme he wants to watch.

Yet, consider this on another thread from earlier today:
The Spanish (to Man Of Harveys) said:
Its very embarrasing, have you got any more apps for your iphone or anything else equally as vital to your life as your one man battle against the evils of News International?

It seems that "The Spanish" has decided only he is entitled to post on pointless, insignificant subjects. I look forward to his next superficial soundbite that sounds mildly amusing in response to this accusation (but that will no doubt complete miss the point as usual).

I missed most of the last series - but saw the second half of the Davina McCall - her great grandfather was a major player in the Dreyfuss trial. One of the major trials of the last century. I thought that was fascinating - and he seemed a truly decent man.

I thought last nights episode about Moyles was really interesting, especially about his great grandfather and Irish Nationalist, fighting in WW1 for the Brits and losing his life.

Thats a proper history lesson. Of all the shite that's on telly, I find it surprising that this gets stick?
