I thought it was a mistake today.

I think that as well as the fans wanting to sing it as the teams come out, it must give our players a BIG lift to hear that being sung by all the home fans as they come on to the pitch. Also, intimidating for the away players to hear all our fans in unison.

Go back to singing it as the players come out.

Why? How else do you expect new supporters to learn the words?
The same way as they learn the words to every other song we sing on the terraces: listening to others sing them, or asking someone. Or, unlike most others songs/chants we sing, they can Google the words.

It is tinpot to have the words on the screen, and always has been.

IMO like.

I think you're a bit sensitive! There's a match about to start, focus on that.
I tend to focus on what’s happening in front of me. When it’s the match, I focus on the match; when it’s the singing of our county song, I focus on that; when it’s a thread about our county song on NSC, I focus on that.

And you wonder why 3/4+ of the ground doesn't join in with any of the chants?

You seem to be implying that if the words to Dunk’s song or Veltman’s (lol) were put up on the big screens more people would sing them. And also implying that you think that would be a good idea.

In which case, we’re just going to have to disagree.

I don’t believe you do.

Do you need the words to Dunk’s song on the screen too? If so, how on earth do you cope that they’re not?
Why would I lie? Are you one of these people who think your view is the only view?

I've also never noticed Dunk having a song. Presumably I'm lieing about that too?

Why would you? For the same reasons that everyone lies on occasion. In this particular case you might be motivated to lie to make your disagreement with my position stronger in an attempt to check mate my argument, for example.

No, I fully recognise that everyone has different opinions. Do you?

You haven’t noticed that Dunk has a song? Ok mate.

I think it could work ok, but definitely fade then end.

Worried me at first. I was half way through an email to Paul Barber in protest at its omission when it struck up.

Be ready for more Neanderthal away fans to be asking “what’s that bit about being gay”. I heard one of our fans having to put a Tractor boy in his place in the way out of the ground.

I’m still not entirely sure why certain men worry so much about being gay. It’s just a human fact of life.

Anyhow, it could work. At least we haven’t got a singer (thank god).

As to the second half. Never chop of the end of the song.

Why do you need the words on a screen? Asking for a friend.

Can’t they just be in the programme for newbies?
Tell your friend it's because I can't remember them. Is that an issue that you need to be involved in?

Enjoyed the change to be fair, sometimes a change is good. Thought the general atmosphere was very Q again. Even the north stand had an off day
