That barely scratches the surface of what Television can bring to the modern world.
My own TV project would start with an international version of It's A Knockout, organised by Eurovision, where poor third world nations would compete against each other for the prize of a year's membership of the EU.
Citizens of the winning country would then have the right to live and work in Europe for twelve months, while officials of the European Commission set about regulating their home economy out of existence.
It would be a race against the clock. Would emigrants to Europe be able to earn enough in the twelve months to compensate their compatriots back home for the damage that European red tape was doing to them?
With Eddie Waring no longer available to provide the excitement for viewers, we'd obviously have to rely on Ant and Dec to provide the detailed economic analysis.
