Successful trials in 2020.....oh really?
I didn’t know about any trials last year, do they mean the couple of matches at the Amex when 2,000 fans attended ?

Yes I take the point about the new Covid era but aren't we all going to be vaccinated this year, that's how the virus is going to be supressed, not track and trace
Yes, there was an option to download to phone rather than print at home. It would be interesting to know how many of the 2,000 took the e-ticket option.
What do you do if you don't have a smart phone or any photo id (no passport or driving licence)?
Could be mis-remembering, but pretty sure I took the download to phone option for the Chelsea game, and ended up having to walk round from the East stand to the ticket office to get a print out when it didn't work. Lots of others with the same issue.
Hopefully this isn't the successful trial otherwise we may not get into the ground until 10 minutes after the final whistle if everyone has to do this.
Always has done.....used it myself many times.
If my son was 12 I could upgrade his ticket for maybe £20 and take a pal. As he’s an adult, I can’t unless I’ve paid £20 and the recipient is an Albion + member and paid £25. If junior (or I) can’t make a game this coming season, his or my seat will be empty I suspect. Not always been the case previously. Doubt I’m the only one in that situation
Without meaning to make the thread about Covid there's just so many unknowns about the near future even with vaccines. Just because we are vaccinated doesn't mean covid goes away, just means we're less likely to die from it.
Same with seasonal flu, but we don't let it affect our lives in general.
You're not the only one; there's loads of us that have passed on their ticket for games on a regular basis. But you only have to pay the £20 once, and the recipient only has to pay the £25 once. It's generally the same bloke that gets my ticket, so this one-off £25 isn't really a major factor for us and certainly cheaper than him getting a full-price ticket on the exchange.
I don't understand your complaint as it's not as if the club have changed any rules (or in this case a law). You weren't supposed to informally pass on your season ticket last season; you're not supposed to this season.
Not really complaining, can see why it's been done and that ID checks will be enforced for the foreseeable anyway so enforcing the existing rules (with some flexibility) makes sense - more an observation, and a view (could be right or wrong) that it will affect quite a few people and lead to plenty of empty seats...........it's fine if the recipient is the same person each time but suspect there a lot that have been informally passing STs on to a variety of people.
Personally we don't have many F&F (that aren't STHs already) that would expect/want to attend more than maybe one game a year, so they are unlikely to join A+ - so equally, little point in me or junior paying the £20 either - meaning an empty seat if either of us can't go.
I won't forget that mate as your always with me [emoji3]You have not once forgotten your beer money though.
I remain sceptical that ID checks will ever be implemented to a level that prevents you passing on your ticket informally - maybe they'll do it if someone's being a bit lazy or it the police think they've spotted someone with a banning order. I will however be signing up for the scheme so that we can be officially within the law for this season at least.
Though to be honest how many adults are there that attend Albion matches that don't have a smart phone and no form of photo ID at all? Must be a tiny amount.

Sorry about this question. What is the difference between a mobile phone and a smart phone. Smart phone is a new word to me. Mine is about 10 years old. Would estimate make 2/3 calls a month and receive same number of texts. Have never received or taken a photo
