we decided as there was crap on TV last night we would watch this(bought the DVD some time ago)
dour post apocalyptic filmed in sometimes total darkness, but nevertheless some great acting.
anyone else had a look?

i loved it . quite depressing but very good. i recommended it to some friends who slated me and said it was shit . mind you , i think their favourite film is universal soldier......3

Didn't rate it that much, went with a flatmate and he had to leave before the end because he kept thinking about his parents back in brazil and it upset him too much :laugh:

strange this came in to the conversation while discussing with the other half although Cloverfield was relying in implication not bad though even if depressing

Not seen the film but the soundtrack is excellent and is up there with the best stuff that Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have done.

A friend of mine said the book was perfect to be made into a film, but i thought him insane to think that. A brilliant book, but you can never instil that kind of elaborate depth to two hours of cinema. Throw some cannibals in there and you get the audience hooked.
I thought it was an ok effort, and as mentioned the music was searingly effective, but i thought it was a book that was impossible to make to a film.
