Sorry but the only one so far has too many names, most of whom are not in the hunt.

The actual appointment will come from one of these I believe.

Danny Wilson has only been at Swindon 5 minutes. Dean Saunders has only been at Wrexham 10 minutes, and is combining it with his work with the Welsh national team.
Won't be either of them.

Fair point although personally I don't think that rules out either of them if we could prove our ambition to them. Wilson has long been a target of Knight's and has said in the past he would like to manage us. The Welsh point with Deano is probably more relevant though. Although I am sure we have some rather embarassing photos of his bollocks somewhere that could be used as a persuading tool.

Danny Wilson, not long been in charge of Swindon.

Dean Saunders in his home town, doing national team aswell.

Jim Gannon always played and managed up north, would he come all the way down south, to manage a relegation fighting team.

Paul Ince, was at a premiership team, so I would've thought looking at a job in the championship at least.

Andy Scott, at a team who adore him, looks like getting promoted.

Sorry mate, can't see any of these happening, except possibly Ince.

I will be very suprised if it's not one of the five, as this is the list Knight scribbled on a piece of paper during todays game.

Maybe.

I just want us to get Ince in ASAP to be honest!
Though Gannon would also be excellent. There are some other decent options but none scream quality like these two.

We may have to refine this poll further to just Gallon and Ince!!!

Would Curbishley as caretaker until the end of the season be totally ridiculous and impossible? There is no way he would come here long term but he's out of work and presumably he misses the day to day involvement....The board then get the time to think through the long term management team without the pressure of having to make a snap decision.

Danny Wilson would be my preference but he's busy resurrecting Swindon now and I feel we've missed our chance again.

I would put Jim Gannon at the top of the likely list simply because I cannot believe that the club would allow Adams to spend in excess of £200k during january and then get rid in Feb. I think that Gannon coming here was on the cards when we bought McNulty and Davies who have both played for him. What would we do if Ince came in and didnt like either of them just lose the money and accept it, highly unlikely.

There is no way Danny Wilson will leave Swindon (and he would be bottom of the five anyway in my view). Saunders is a bit inexperienced and Scott probably won't leave a team looking likely to go up for a team who could go down. Ince would be a good choice but I would love to get Jim Gannon as he has done a fantastic job at Stockport with limited money. With the chance to spend in the summer hopefully, a new ground on the way and Stockport struggling financially it is not impossible. Maybe he could bring a couple of their better players with him on loan with a view to signing permanently in the summer (but I'm not getting carried away)!

If we did get Gannon, would it be the first time we have taken the first team manager from another team (I know Adams was at Forest first time but he was reserve manager).
