When you see the reaction time and time again from the whole team it is too obvious to ignore. He was plainly bias.

These refs treat the ‘big’ teams differently, they really do. Yesterdays ref gave us very little, booked our players for things he didn’t book there’s for etc it was noticeable. It was similar at Anfield too. These refs let the ‘big’ team dictate the game and how it’s going to be played.

Makes the win yesterday even better!!!!

I mean, I always think the refs are against us, so hard for me to say.
Sounds like it wasn't just my blue and white specs this time.

IMO it was a similar story at Anfield, except.....
Liverpool were attacking constantly and we were forced to make challenges, where a ref has to make a judgement.
The Liverpool crowd, made it an intimidating atmosphere.
Theses factors are going to affect the ref and he's likely to start favouring the attacking, home team.

That wasn't the case yesterday.
The ref just point blank refused to apply any consistency in his decisions.
Sure none of them were game definining, but these are the small margins that the top teams shouldn't need, but still get.

The inconsistency was alarming, our player pulls back a City player and rightly booked, City player does the same to ours and nothing happens.

I very rarely criticise referees, win or lose, but he was desperately poor today and it was all one way. Had a dreadful game.

He did give us a FK for Perv's dive down by the corner flag once we were ahead.

They do. That's why VAR has to stay.

I saw a table somewhere which said that since VAR has been introduced, we are the biggest beneficiaries of VAR overrulings.
When you consider how many travesties, we've had against us with VAR, that is an amazing stat.

It has to stay.

….and then we have Walker moaning that they didn’t get the small decisions which gave us a momentum….what??.
….just as an aside when the ref blew for HT he was close to the ES…Welbeck (the captain) tried to talk to him….not rant and rave …and as captain you’d think that was ok….nope he waved him away …yep refs get harangued by players which is wrong……but he did himself no favours there

Big clubs and their fans really don't understand it.
They are so used to having the edge in decisions, they see the opponents, being given a 50/50 decision as the ref giving decisions against them unfairly.

I think another part is the refs are paranoid about being “the story”. If you make a decision and (e.g.) Man City lose to Brighton as a direct result then that’s the story for the rest of the week on Sky Sports, endlessly raked over on MOTD and splashed all over the papers.

Do it the other way and it won’t be mentioned again. Such is the obsession our media has with the big 6.

The Rice sending off is a prime example.

The Arsenal fans have spent months going on and on about a decision, which every commentator and pundit has conceded was a correct decision.
They continually bang on about the Joao Pedro incident as if it was exactly the same thing.
They've made such a big deal about it that even Howard Webb had to concede it was a mistake ( it wasn't).

Props to the person in the North East Corner who screwed up his white 'poppy sheet' and threw it at the Lino just after he got his microphone fixed.. :lolol:
