the reason is our Giant Flag Energy is atrocious.

It wanders around the NS like a drunk sailor on shore leave.
More bunches than class photo day.
All the timing of an only child who has an appointment.

We've got the summer to get Europa League Ready or we might as well not bother at all

It's a totally pointless exercise 🤣 passed over before the players are out and when half the NS is still finishing their pints (hence the drooping/bunching)

I'm a little bit embarrassed by our flag compared to what Newcastle, Forest, Arsenal and others offer. Ours is so small that it looks like a bit like a beach towel. I know it cost a lot of money and the club wouldnt pay for it so fans donated etc etc, but having witnessed it a few times from the West Stand, I'm beginning to think it looks a bit, dare I say it, tinpot

I propose everyone in the North gathers on Brighton beach for a day this summer to practise

Awful post.

There's nothing wrong with the fan bought flag.
It's application is the issue.

We definitely need to attend Flag School, next term, or else the whole process is meaningless.

I think we need to revisit the 90s European on tour look. I've already got some pristine white reebok classics and 3 quarter length Lonsdale shorts and a bucket hat. I'm going to pop over to Antwerp in the summer as well to get some pre season practice in throwing plastic chairs round provincial European Town squares.

It's nothing to do with that, more than enough people.

The reason the flag stalls and bunches is that too many fans feel inconvenienced by the flag going over their heads and blocking their view than feel great enthusiasm for the message the flag is sending and spectacle it creates.

Followed by an autumn in the Belgian clink.

As long as we don’t go for the Arsenal/Villa style big flags being waved by kids on the touch line thing, which is completely cringeworthy. But not as cringeworthy as goal music, something else we need to avoid at all costs.

I quite like the fact that ours is a bit less obviously organised and more spontaneous, rather than something organised in a marketing suite somewhere!

Get your significant other to direct the hose pipe at you in the garden too, that way you can experience the whole water cannon thing as you chuck the garden furniture around after a couple of lagers 👍

A big flag, cringeworthy? I’m puzzled by the use of that word on here at times. I shit myself in the Co Op once, that’s cringeworthy.

Our flag is fine. I'm finding these tifos just a load of performative b*ll*cks. It's a copy of a different fan culture not an organic development of ours. Newcastle had a ludicrous one about Hard Work Paying Off Dreams Come True. Give over! How about a bucket load of bloody money pays off and our dreams comes true. Instead of We are the Mags, a simple we are glory hunters would have sufficed.

Is this the Italian Job one? If so - the telly always shows it, and the commentators always say something along the lines of the bond between fans and manager/team. So - it works for that.

Nothing beats a good luzz l say. Albion fans will be new to it en continent though.

I dare say it's easy enough to learn.
I wonder if we should all meet up on Hove Lawns during the summer and have a practice Luzzing session? Maybe Donatellos might donate some of their outdoor lightweight aluminium seating as training equipment?

Dunno mate. Oxford English Dictionary says:
  1. causing feelings of acute embarrassment or awkwardness.
"the play's cast was excellent, but the dialogue was unforgivably cringeworthy"

So basically you shitting yourself in the Co-Op and having poor dialogue in a play are equally cringeworthy it seems based on this definition 😆! Be careful to check the script next time they want volunteers for The Importance of Being Earnest!
