Good poll, gives us an idea of the price elasticity. The 5 PGs will be attending: only 2 went to Newcastle game last year (mostly cos it was on TV but also because of the price).

People have been slagging this draw, but a few years ago Reading were our big rivals for the (now) L1 title, and only last year they were a Prem side. 15 years ago we would have killed for a draw like this! Get real folks: we've played Prem sides at the Amex and away the last few years and been spoilt.

PG

I think it's always a bit disappointing to get someone from your own league. I'd have been more excited by a Kidderminster or someone we haven't played for sometime, but I'll still be going and looking forward to it.

Its very much a zzzz of a tie obviously, but it could end up being a cracking match, hopefully with both teams just going for it being as a replay is the probably last thing either club would want.

And at those prices, frankly it would be downright rude not to go. I'm going to see if I can't snaffle me a ticket amongst the JCL's of the ESU, being as I've not tried it over there yet. Theres always plenty of space up there anyway as half the STH's don't turn up, so should be easy enough.

I will be there but as my WSU season ticket only works out £19 a game with free travel this game will actually cost me more :) £15 West stand £4.50 train and then of course booking fee

A regular adult season ticket in the WSU is £535, or £23.26 per league game, inclusive of travel.

This. The removal of the free transport is a typically sneaky move from Barber in an attempt to give the impression of a lower price than it really is...

Does he think we are complete idiots?

Yes. Why not. As @spoonie points out this 3rd Round FA Cup Tie is going to cost him and other STHs (of which we have 23,000+) MORE THAN a top notch league game. How can that possibly be regarded as a generous and thoughtful piece of pricing?

17,000 rattling about in The Amex, watching our second string and generally feeling "squeezed" by Barber for every penny he can take...

It's going to cost those STHs whose seat is in W3A, part of W3B, part of W3H and W3I about the same as a normal match. (Around 1,500 people). By your own reckoning it will be £19.50 rather than your usual £19.78.

Provided they sit in their own seat, for everyone else, it's cheaper.

Someone needs to send these stats to the club when the thread is finished.

When has a cup game ticket price ever been worked out as a division of the cost of a Season Ticket? Surely it demonstrates what brilliant value your ST is!?!

£15 (or £10 in the N or S) is great value to see an FA Cup 3rd rnd tie against opposition from our league - that's the same price as a Conference Premier match, or a Conference South match in the N or S!!!

I don't think it's sneaky at all, looks like the club are reminding everyone of the value that's in the typical matchday ticket. When people complain about £32 (which I think is still high mind you) for a match ticket, they need to remember it's actually £27.50 + transport.

Heres the club are saying, make you're own way there, cycle, walk, get dropped off - your ticket is £15 of £10. What is sneaky about that?

Well priced for me, and good value. I may vacate my Family Stand seats and take a view from the North or South thankyou Mr Barber, and I'll probably arrive on my trusty bike!

17k ? We'll get a damn sight more than that, especially going on the results of this poll. Non-Albion types may also come too because of the cheap prices.

And a full strength team will be played - its the FA Cup remember, this is the one which we want to win games in because of the money involved, unlike the COC.

If Barber wanted to squeeze fans for every penny, he would have charged the normal Category A price of about £28 for adults in the North/South - so your actually saving £18 (possibly £10 if you take travel off). Regardless, its still cheaper than a match by match ticket.

I think people need to forget about transport levy's and season ticket pro rata prices for a second....£15 or £10 for adults to an FA Cup 3rd round tie - :amex:

Please, the club surely have to be encouraged to do more of this, not pilloried for it.

Can't be arsed to do the maths but, to me, this poll suggests they'd have been better off charging £25 a ticket.

Although I guess it depends how much each person spends on food/drink, the cost of operating a full v half-empty stadium etc etc.

Apologies - I thought they'd got rid of wing prices this season. They did, but only for match by match tickets, not for season tickets.

I'm now looking forward to a family stand ST holder complaining that for their U-10 they only have to pay £3.04 per game normally (£70/23), yet this game is going to cost them £7.50.

That Jesus fella is probably weeping right now.
