Okay, so when we went to buy tickets from the club we had to give a name, address, telephone number, email address and you had to tick a box saying you did NOT want any Albion-related merchandise information to be sent to you.

My guess is most people did not tick this box.

So my question is, the club now has the names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers of 30,000 fans on it's database. How is it going to use this information? If 30,000 people will travel to Cardiff, I would hope that we'd be able to sell out Leeds away (3,665 allocation).

Is our marketing department clever enough to use this information to it's best advantage??

Would love to see a full albion compliment @ Leeds, however as we gain no revenue from away matches I wouldn't think they would take this line.

My guess would be that each of these 30,000 will be contacted to see if they want a season ticket @ falmer.

In the meantime I would imagine that the club will send out marketing for the likes of the race day or other commercial offerings such as the Hero's & Winners game.

DK made his cash from Marketing...when we have a stadium gives him chance to show this he will deliver. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

There is also the merchandise in the shop ie new kit coming out, presents for birthdays Christmas etc

And, of course, Falmer when we get it (when not if)

They have our email addresses, several thousand of them, up to 30,000? Emails don't cost much to send!

Only a fool would put their email address and mobile number etc, which is irrelevant information, on a form for tickets.

we'll i signed up for the away supporters club two weeks ago and i have heard nothing!!?

When I joined the AMS 2 years ago I did not get any conformation from the club. However when applying for tickets they will have your details on file. So dont expect to get anything in the post. If cheque or Credit card shows the £10 taken, then you are in the AWS.

Sorry to sound like a nerd, but Leeds will stick us in the corner section (South East corner), and we'll get a maximum of 1700 tickets (ish).........which is still pretty good bearing in mind how many tickets they'll get at Withdean :)

What Is It Like For Visiting Supporters?
Apart from the annual visit of Manchester United and the odd cup tie or local derby, Leeds is a fairly enjoyable place to watch your football. However, if you are attending one of the former games, then exercise caution around the ground and the adjacent car parks. Away fans are located in the South East corner of the South Stand at one end of the ground, where up to 1.800 fans can be accommodated. This allocation can be doubled if necessary by giving away fans the whole of this stand. Facilities within this stand are fairly basic, the leg room sparse, plus I saw a number of fans being ejected (without warning) for swearing. So be on your best behaviour.

I have done, and stand by my original post!!!

Leeds Utd fans will see their home game to us as a banker (which it will be) and will want to be there to watch us getting hammered by the odd 3 or 4 goals

Only the "big" teams/ local teams get the full allocation of the corner seats and behind the goal, so that counts us out on both criteria!! Having already watched league football at Elland Road before, I don't have this massive urge to go there again, so my ticket can go to a "newbie" such as Biscuit, Braders, Full Harris, etc ;)

My ticket can go to someone else too, went there for the England Vs Italy freindly and must say it is one of the worst (Big) grounds I have been to.

Will be saving my cash for Wolves, Leicester Sunderland Etc.

Man United only got 1,600 seats. This is one I'm particularly looking forward to, not least because I might get to watch the game from one of the private boxes. That'll be rather weird.

I have been to Brighton matches at Elland Rd before (back in the early 80's) and Leeds v Man Utd in the 70's (as first husband was a Leeds fan  )

I am looking forward to returning there with Brighton.

What does Leeds hold? About 40k isn't it? I doubt if more than 30k will turn out for the game against us. Sad to say it, but when they were playing the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United last year, a home fixture against us isn't going to wet the pallette.

It's all very well saying they'll spank us, but bloke who have to fork out christ knows how much for tickets for them and their kids will see fixtures against the likes of us, Crewe and Plymouth as expendable.
