If you nearly died and were going to the pub 12 months after the incident that had you toppled to recognise and note the date and almost give importance to it, what would you expect of that evening?
Is there something that should sum your demise or deliver an end to one's hardened, confused ill feeling with a series of handshakes and a cheer of thanks?
Should there be a speech or a round of aplause or a sash or a prize dog or winning porridge or a recipe for ghoulash that one couldn't picture or understand when life was easier and more forgetful?
