The NIMBYS really have got a strange idea about what constitutes
Outstanding Natural Beauty!

Robina and I went for a gentle stroll round Falmer Pond last Friday. It is a festering, algae-encrusted stagnant puddle. The only life I could discern in the ridiculously shallow, foetid water were swarms of mosquito and midge larvae. No fish, half dried out, decorated round its edges with old plastic bags and cardboard and at least one old shoe: one area reeks of piss, and it is infested with rats - there is a council sign asking people not to feed the ducks because it encourages the rats, and asking visitors to take care because they have put down rat poison.
If you're ever nearby, have a look yourselves...

Here's an offer. NIMBYS - when we get the new stadium - which really WILL be an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - we'll send you a special litter patrol to clean out the pond and get rid of the rats (just the four legged ones, the two legged variety's minds have already been so poisoned by reactionary, snobbish prejudice that they'll be immune to the stuff!)

It is so shit down there ain't it! The only excitement down there is watching the pond dry up even more, if you call that exciting ???

It is so boring and shit you could :shootself

I wonder what the residents of falmer think ???

I took my brother round there earlier (before the Leicester game) & he agreed: What a shithole - The whole place.

20 delapidated houses & a stagnant, skanky puddle full of smeg.

Why don't they just bulldoze the whole lot & build a traing pitch on it?

Because maybe the rats don't want to leave.
