The Olympics - replace a sport

For 2016 one of the following sports is being introduced:

Softball (it has been dropped for 2012 :( )
Squash
Rugby (I think a seven's code is being considered)
Golf

So which sport would you bring in, and which would you remove?

Personally I'd remove tennis and replace it with softball. (rugby & golf have their own big events and I prefer softball to squash)

Baseball OUT for Squash. I'm amazed squash isn't in already to be honest. It's just as popular as other racket sports. And baseball is utter toilet. If baseball is in then so should cricket & rubgy league & union

I'd remove tennis, or basketball or some of the big common professional team sports. I'd like to see softball out of that lot.

Just as an aside questions - are there demonstration sports at this years Olympics? I haven't seen or heard of them?

Squash in just because it is the biggest sport there, that is not a team based event. Not sure what to drop but baseball would be up there as a contender.

Baseball is already out along with softball.

Shame really. Baseball at Lords would have been QUALLA.

Doesn't baseball already have a World Series tournament anyway? I'm sure all those nations in Asia and South America that enjoy this sport will continue to get huge pleasure from participating.

They've got beach volleyball, why not have beach football? It's a great sport to watch.

I don't think BMX is much of an olympic sport, it's quite entertaining but it just reminds of kids hanging around in skate parks doing tricks.

What about 20/20? I'd love to see a Chinese cricket team

Rugby 7's would be fantastic. I really enjoyed watching it when it was introduced to the commonwealth games. Also, Britain surely would be a major medal hope.

Remove athletics and all their drugs cheats

and replace it with..............

proper sports of the people that can be payed in a pub.such as darts, Tiddlywinks, tug of War, cribbage, skittles, Egg and spoon races, cheese hurling

So no riduculosly over expensive and over inflated new venues.

The y could all be held in the Rose and Crown

I'm sorry Timmy, but baseball is ace. And it would appear that the Japanse, and people of both American continents would agree with me.

but then again quite a large proportion of those people voted in George W Bush TWICE, so you can't take their views too seriously

I'd remove things like Basketball, tennis, baseball. We see it week in week out and due to the commerical and financial influence there is no need for it to be an olympic sport. Ask a major league baseballer what is the higher honour - winning a world series or an Olympic Gold, I might be wrong but I would think they'd say the world series, which is why they don't really need to be at the Olympics...

Not Luton! Thank God
I used to like baseball because I used to just see the highlights which looked amazing. Then i went to the states and saw a few games and realised it was dull as ditchwater. I know cricket can be called dull, but at least they hit it more than once every 10 minutes.

Think 7's would be good, but golf wouldn't be a bad addition as long as it was just team based events. Wouldn't want to see a individual competition.
