Didn't see either game live, but watched the extended highlights this morning.

Looks like both came down to crucial moments:
– KC got greedy on that last drive of the first half. They should have taken the FG. Could well have held on to win if they had.
– That dropped INT by SF probably cost them the game. Jaquiski Tartt will be haunted by that for the rest of his career.

Even as a Browns fan, the Rams v Bengals is the matchup I really wanted to see in the Superbowl.
The Bengals have been a breath of fresh air this year - and the Rams finally have a QB able to lead them to that title.

Should be a great game!

And totally unexpected! (at least by me)

With regard to PM going for the TD at the end of the half, I'm a lockdown newbie to NFL, however from a sporting point of view, KC were all over them at that point, the CBs had no answer whatsoever and everything PM tried came off. Retrospect it looks a bad call, at the time it looked like they would inevitably score.

Just watched the 49'er LA RAMS Game, wow that was tense, what a battle in the trenches, agree with what was said earlier. It felt like the Jaquiski Tartt drop on the interception, I mean what a drop, would have got the 49'ers over the line.

Unbelievable that Stan Kroenke spent 5.5 billion dollars on the sofi stadium, has gone for bust to get his his team to the superbowl by throwing his picks around like confetti on a win now team, yet still the 49'ers took over the stadium (you had to have an LA zip code to get tickets) and they came close to knocking out the Superstar team. It will give the Bengals some hope in a fortnight.

Two great games last night, I think the Bengals will enjoy going in as complete underdogs, its seems to work for them.

Thought Dan Marino did it in 84 losing to the 49ers…..

Have followed JB since his LSU days, so delighted for him, seems a very grounded individual.

Okay, it was more like no QB drafted first pick has gone on to take a team to the superbowl in their second year. Or something like that.

I fear for Burrows a bit with Donald and Miller, they could do some serious damage if he holds onto the ball too long, that last play to win the game v 49'ers they nearly took Jimmys head off

Blimey, this was the LAST pairing I wanted! :lolol:

Bengals? Well at least they're not the Steelers (or worse, Ravens). That's about all I can manage. Really don't want them to win, just makes us look even worse.
Rams? I do NOT want to ****ing see O B ****ing J prancing around with the VL Trophy! Really don't want them to win.

Heigh ho, it's like the 1976 FA Cup final all over again!

At least we can say we beat them both times this season...

I've honestly never really had a problem with Cincy...whereas the other two I really dont like, and never will. As for OBJ, I dont really care what he does now tbh - not our concern and can do what he likes IMO. I know things happened in Cleveland - but he never really fit the system (or enjoyed being there?) and hes moved on. I really wanted him to do well with us, but thats the nature of the NFL unfortunately....some you hit, some you miss.

Yes. Interesting yesterday in that he was releasing the ball with 5-9 secs remaining, effectively preventing the defence from trying to beat the snap.

Miller was relatively quiet yesterday, but they need quite a few plans I would suggest to deal with Donald.

Well for the second victory winning the game wasn't the Bengals main objective, but, yeah, we beat one of the Superbowl teams twice. Great. Let's have a victory parade. I was more pissed off partly because in post-season terms it confirms our status as the undisputed underachieving losers of the AFC North. I think I'd almost rather it WAS Pittsburgh as at least that's a humiliation I'm used to.

However my main gripe is the Bengals, like us, had an appalling post-season record, and indeed were recently so shit they got the #1 pick in the 2020 draft. They chose Joe Burrow. Now look at them! (Both Burrow and the Bengals). How many times have we had the #1 pick? Why haven't we ever got it right? (Maybe slightly unfair on Mayfield but I'm ranting now!)

So I've decided that shall be supporting the Rams, and with regard to OBJ I will have to suck it up and accept that with us he was just the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hope he has a stinker though!

For goodness sake - to be fair on the Giants, once Schoen was appointed as the General Manager it was inevitable he would go back to Buffalo for one of their coaches.

I would have thought Flores had a bigger beef with the Dolphins, given that he had a winning record......

Ironically I mentioned to my son last week that I wouldn't have minded Flores as NYG coach but felt it unlikely........... oh well........

It was reported last night that the Dolphins owner had apparently offered Flores $100k each game they lost in 2019 so their draft pick would be better - which Flores was furious with....and, re: Belichick, its rumoured that he messaged Flores by mistake congratulating him on getting the Giants job...but it was before Flores even interviewed, and was meant for Brian Daboll. How true these stories are Im not sure...but I expect it'll all come out properly over the next few weeks.

Anyway...new Washington name and uniform reveal today! Overwhelming favourite is Commanders. Not sure about it myself, but would be better than Football Team for sure. At least they are keeping the traditional Washington colours and not just wiping away all traces of the Redskins. Still think the original logo should've remained though, & just called themselves the Warriors etc. If they didnt want the native image on there, just use the spear design used in the 60s.
