No, it's really really irritating. I went to the England women's game against Germany and the drumming was really annoying after a while. It just sounds moronic.

I dont think we need a drum but tonight showed that something simple that helps create chanting in unison will help get everyone involved.

The great escape clapping against Burnley in 2013 when we went down to 9 men had 90% of the stadium involved and sounded incredible.

Matches like Potter's Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday play off semi at home shows the Amex can create an incredible atmosphere but also highlights our fans realy need to be riled up to create a hostile atmosphere. Stick to something simple, Tony blooms blue and white army when the crowd goes flat would help to wake us up IMO

So, genuine question, what’s the difference between a drum and someone banging the wall?

Not for me, Clive. Mainly because I can pretty much guarantee the guy will be next to me. It’s always me

Hell, no.

What next? Black hoodie wearing Ultras who write indignant letters to PBOBE? A revisionist history? A ring-fenced stand? An annual relegation struggle? Fans who clamour for the return of Will Hughes? WILL f***ing HUGHES ahahahaha!!!

If it helps getting the atmosphere going then why not,I still remember the Goldstone protests when whistles were used being them back!

To be fair the atmosphere in the first half was dire, AGAIN. If the crowd can't get up for a match against one of the best teams in Europe then it is bound to stimulate this sort of discussion.
