I left early tonight and am not ashamed to say so. For me that was one of the most inept, pathetic performances I have ever had the misfortune to witness from a Brighton team. We were truly shocking. The passing was woeful, we hoofed the ball whenever we could and passion was almost non-existent. Newport fully deserved their win, and if we play like that on Saturday, we're going to get hammered. A very poor display of football from a Championship team.

He is doing what Tony Bloom employed him to do and pays him to do, don't forget that.

What is that exactly ? To count people as customers, to disregard all the battles the club had, to extract every penny he can for the fans, to bin GG's, to be put in to piss Poyet off, pretty much all this guy has been has been decisive to date. He wants BHAFC to be like MK Dons, a franchise, a money making machine and to hell with the past. I don't give a toss if TB employed him.

I would have thought a good cup run may have been a bit of a money spinner and helped the budget but it would appear I'm wrong going by the team selected tonight.

It really doesn't say much for our second string players.

Their goalkeeper seems to stop the ball going in the goal. We must try that

No he isn't. He's paid to make the club a going concern, however that is done. And I'm concerned I can tell you. He's looked to maximise revenue from existing supporters at every turn instead of creating more corporate revenue streams. That's fine when the team is playing well, but when things go sour on the pitch it really doesn't look too clever.

I said more or less that months ago

This is a worse defeat than swindon..... its newport county a team that was non league last year ...not looking good, yes its early doors but it was clear we needed more players than we have signed.

And we faced swindon with 11 men, whereas we have been down to 10 v newport for almost 60mins, and we managed to score v newport not against swindon. We faced swindon with a recognised team playing a familiar style, we have played newport without any first - or second - choice full backs, a midfielder making his debut, after a truncated pre-season under a new manager trying to change the style we play.

Barber is all to blame for the farce BHAFC has become. Sorry I have bitten my tongue for a long time but it has turned SHITHOUSE since this clown arrived. He has pretty much turned the club upside down and not in a good way from what I can see.

Close the door on your way out. For somebody in the financial sector you appear to be totally frigging clueless about what was needed for The Albion to comply with FFP.

Yes....and he was employed by TONY to do that and they speak every single day. They are very much working together.

Haven't we announced two or three new sponsorship deals in the past couple of weeks?

Do you think the ref was influenced by the sound of a leg breaking and reaction from the Newport bench ?

Could be.

As I said, its of course an appalling outcome for the Newport player but there genuinely was no intent, it was a collision with no blame either way.

Their bench made a 17 course dinner with After Eights and coffee of it though, perhaps that made a difference.

Ah well, we move on.

Last season we ****ed up the League Cup first round, and lost our opening league game....that all worked out OK and so will this.

The Calderon incident was directly in front of me and was NEVER a red card. A 50/50 coming together with a very unfortunate outcome for the Newport player. Appalling decision.

Ok, I'll take that view too. At least until Saturday. Never liked the League Cup anyway.

It always makes me laugh.

All clubs need a money man.
We have one of the best.
Money man is ruining the club.

A club that wouldn't exist without a money man.
