The good thing about it being on both channels is that you can channel hop when the adverts are on (they're rarely at the same time) and not miss a thing.

Rohan Dennis sets a brilliant time. I really hope he doesn't win the stage, Stat will be unbearable.

ITV4 saying he now has the record for the fastest ever TDF TT, 55.54 KMPH - saying he should get the yellow jersey and win the stage with that

Alex Dowsett beat his hour record!

P & P are doing my head in already.

I'm just working out who they've taken the most money from, so far I think it's Trek and Australia.

Rohan, blew the specialists out the water.

Great to have Jens on the ITV comentary team.

I dumped Steve Cummings for Alex Dowsett on my team this morning, the first of many poor selections for team Lanterne Rouge, but its great to be off and running, Allez allez

Not unreasonably, it would seem. The Aussie won.
But who knew so much happens at The SANTOS Tour of Australia.
Almost as pivotal a race as The AMGEN Tour of California.

And those are my last words on P&P.

Unless my telly is on the blink, G looks the thinnest he's ever been.

I remember him at the Newport Velodrome riding for Wales as a skinny teenager in the Tour of Britian- what greatness he has achieved, lets hope he can stay upright for a change

One things for sure, my new 10 mile TT route makes today's stage look like Hampton Court maze on the side of a cliff.

Bit of a lacklustre first stage IMO, hopefully tomorrow will be more interesting...

But that's the nature of the Prologue Time Trial. Great cycling by many of the guys, but never will it be as interesting as the mountain stages. A bit of a sprintathon for the next few, so nothing to get too excited about - except that it's the Tour de France!

Often 1st stage time trials / prologues provide a bit of drama, but with all the big guns putting in very similar times there isn't much to remember from today's stage.

Nice bit of predicting there SB with Rohan Dennis. :clap2:

So the big question for tomorrow's stage then. Echelons or not?, and will there be any GC splits? All dependent on the wind and what teams want to try to tear the race apart I suppose.

I wonder if the Steppers will want to try to drop the likes of Sagan & Kristoff (highly unlikely) and as many sprinters as possible, take the stage win for Cav and possibly put Tony Martin in Yellow as an added bonus. Not sure they'd want the Yellow jersey though.

Stage 2: Utrecht - Zélande, 166 km

The weather has potential for more rain than wind, so unfortunately echelons are unlikely, boooo.

That is likely to make today's stage considerably more predictable:-

Cav
Kristoff
Sagan

Having caught the break with 4.3 kms to go.

Not sure why I wrote that. Steppers have no GC riders and yellow jersey won't really affect Cav's sprint train, so ignore the bit about them not wanting it :dunce:

Here's hoping for some serious echelon action today.

Edit: Having now seen your post SB. Shame about the weather. Here's hoping everyone stays upright then with all those roundabouts on the run in.

Well Sagan was not the man to have but Dan was really the Man yesterday. Sorry TONY was the man.

As a Director Sportiff I managed to sign a Martin, but obviously the wrong one, who's the fella I signed

Is anyone else worried about the speed - yesterday was the quickest ever TT and today they are talking about how high the speeds are given the conditions, I really hope this does not turn in to another 1998
