Not a noise as such, but a smell. Used to know somebody who worked for British Oxygen. They manufacture non-Oxygen gases also. Like the fake aroma when you open a jar of instant coffee.

I understood that gas used for households doesn't naturally smell, it's added to make a leak more noticeable.

Also, shampoo is made to lather even though it doesn't need to

Ah, but that isn't the only fake thing about the lottery draw. Watch it closely - at the exact moment when the "celebrity" presses the big red button, you'll notice (in the corner of the screen) the official adjudicator pressing the real button on the machine itself that actually kicks it off. The red button is a complete fake that does nothing...
