The previous shirt had a miniature England flag on the back of the neck, this has been removed, presumably by some woke wally at the FA and replaced with some meaningless rectangle that most patriotic English people aren’t in favour of. These people include the Prime Minister and the Leader of The Opposition and numerous other distinguished and eloquent individuals from all elements of the political and social spectrum.

What’s genuinely depressing is the ability of so many people to succeed in starting a fight, on their own in a phone box.

I don't think it's the flag itself being changed that's an issue (not for me anyway), it's the fact that it's football and I am getting fed up of being preached to whenever the opportunity arises. I agree to extent, it's not really about the St. George. This reaction is a predictable blow back from all the stupidity of the gaslighting activism we see.

What annoys me is they choose what social justice they feel we need, they view themselves as oracle of activism! It's their way of the highway. But God forbid a player were to wear a Palestine flag then the same corporate activism under the FA umbrella would throw the hammer down on it.

Going to be very ‘uncool here’ - I really like both kits - love the ‘purple’ of the away shirt - is it purple? obviously a nod to ‘66 kit in the colours used in the ‘flag’ - dark blue/red - and general retro feel

If the 'stadium' shirts were normal price i.e. around £60 ... I'd be tempted to get the away shirt ... great colour. But I'm not paying £85.

I am not sure there is as much pearl clutching about the flag as the media project, broadly speaking this “dynamic” of changing stuff in the interests of a fresh new vision etc. is not new, it’s why we have Anne Boleyn played by a black actress, or women commentators/pundits on men’s sport, Black only nights at the theatre, indulgence of mentally Ill men shitting in women’s toilets, y’know all that kind of thing. Change for changes sake and the need to be different.

The flag, think like the above examples are more rolls eyes and not “buy it out of principle” than grab the pitchfork and light up a faggot.

I have it on good authority that before the match we will be observing a minutes silence to remember those Russian music fans killed in Moscow by Islamic terrorists last week.

It’s a measure of the solidarity between our countries that despite our obvious current political differences we can both share the same grief about the loss of innocents attending a concert only to be murdered and maimed by those with a extremist religious ideology.
