It was a different colour on the 2011 shirt, no one seemed to care then... just sums up the way that for some odd reason everything is polarised now, and someone has to complain one or the other, who cares.
Yes you are correct, I had to look it up, the Umbro tailored by England shirts were also good quality.
I would say many, many more people are on social media these days commenting on all things.

Both Nigel Farage and Lee Anderson have had their say already about the 'updated' cross...

Anderson who is apparently 'In-ger-land's BIGGEST fan' (but who is currently boycotting watching any games in protest over something or other) said of it: "See? SEE! LOOK - no wonder I want my country back, FFS"
In that case I think it is the best fashion development since Christian Dior's "new look".

f***ing awful. Cannot change a countries colours to force agendas. I absolutely am into inclusivity, but this takes it WAY too far. It is a joke. It is the countries national shirt not a political/inclusivity token.
'The US firm said the colours were inspired by the training kit worn by England's 1966 World Cup winners'

Calm down dear.

I still don't understand why people are so obsessed over the shield of some Turkish bloke who lied and said he fought a dragon.
It makes no difference how it came to be our flag. The fact is, it is our flag. It makes no sense to use a different flag when supporting England.

The template thing has just gone a bit too far. Adi and Nike has released some of the worst kits in my 38 year memory in the same international break / for the same competition. That's no coincidence.

The collar on this nike strip is disgusting. Adidas just haven't bothered. Time to ditch the major brands. They are just awful. Scotland home is ok. The rest are upsetting.

Can't spin all this personalised, bespoke trash when it's literally the same as the USA, France, NL, except the colour. All of it thoroughly pathetic.

Edit - Also, massive lol. And "update to the St Georges Cross". HAHAHA. I know the value of the flag has plummeted in recent years...probably now similar worth to a very niche meme coin, but it really embodies the arrogance of these brands that they feel they have the licence, unofficially or not, to claim an update to the flag. Just hilarious.

The FA would have had to agree it though.

Keir Starmer is now piling in. Nothing to do with appealing to a certain set of voters.

You do have to sit back and laugh at the silliness of it all.

I'm sure the FA agr€£$ to quite a lot of Nike's limited ideas.

We are a pure clean country after all. 🙄

This is a majestic shirt . . As was the sky blue too.
Looks like a dishcloth.

I do like the new kit though. It's up there with their best.

I’m from Scotland and if our kit producer just wanted to ‘playfully change’ the flag colours on the kit, there would be uproar. It’s the National flag of your country. This would have ben signed off the FA board obvs who are not arbiters of the national flag.
If it was Brazil, Japan, Ecuador, US, or any other country and the producer of the kit decided to ‘playfully change’ the national flag colour, well you can see the issue.

Starmer giving that comment, to The Sun of all places, was no doubt recommended by SpAds as an easy tactic to get some little Englanders on his side rather than them not voting at all or voting for Reform.

I think the 'playful' cross is shit but it doesn't affect my life enough for me to give a shite.
