Wenger now slowly destroying things .... they have all the financial advantages with the collosal stadium, debt paid off early, and mega seat prices with huge corporate income, but he employs static defenders of the ilk of Mertesacker.

With their income, huge cash at bank, they should be competing for the best players in Europe, but instead resort to knee jerk purchases on the 31st August.

Serious question - do you think it's Wenger or the changes in ownership in the last couple of years ?

ARSENAL RIP.............Unless of course they wake up and realise that 8 years without a trophy is not a good stat

Cant see that TB would wait that long without a change.... a great club that is being ruined by those that have the power for change

Arsenal supporting journalists (debate with one on the radio right now), are absolutely certain that Kroenke and Gazaridis have made huge funds available to Wenger in the last 4 or 5 transfer windows.

Their huge audited cash at bank, shows it is there.

It's stubborness. In real terms, top money for Wiltord, Henry, Jeffers, Reyes, etc was paid in the first Wenger era.
Now he wants to prove that he doesn't need to spend like ManU or Spurs, and it will all come good with FFP.
In the mean time, the club with the huge shiny stadium and most expensive seat pricing in world football, is heading for a decade without silverware.

A decade without a major trophy is nothing. Plenty of clubs go through this. Even Chelsea and Manchester City. Arsenal have done so before and will do so again.

Without change in tactics, Arsenal will go the same way as Liverpool in heading for mid-table mediocrity before long.

That last bit : "Arsenal have done so before and will do so again" ... that's looking more likely by the week.

Wouldn't Arsenal consider themselves on a UK and European par with ManU, the Milans ... where one season without silverware is unfortunate, 2 is a disaster?
These others, plus Chelski, seem to have a hunger for Silverware.

Spurs have a tough run.

Arsenal have a very easy run in.[/QUOTE

It is the 'easy' games that these clubs tend to lose, the bottom sides fighting to avoid relegation are not too easy.. Against the top teams the players lift themselves and Spurs know if they don't qualify for Champions Leaguer now it is their own fault.
