Is the National lottery just another Tax on the poor?

I hate the lottery stopped doing it when it went to a wednesday night as well.

but less well off people will do it as they live in hope they will win and cannot see any other way of getting themselves out of poverty.

you find people will spend £10 a week ,that money could be spend on kids clothes etc...

once they do the same numbers every week they cannot ever stop...

if the plans they have to go daily come in then people will be forced to do the same numbers every day!

i used to do the same numbers every saturday but stopped in 1998,by my reckoning ive won over £250 by not doing it!!!

Absolutely. If you buy a lottery ticket as its your only way out of your situaiton and you honestly beleive you will win you must be real stupid.

I find that abit harsh calling them stupid.
as I said it is some peoples only hope out of poverty...all be it a sim one.
Hope is the only thing that keeps some people going.
