I actually agree with you. It's not the actual waterfall that's the problem, it is quite picturesque I suppose. It's just when you go there they offer about six different ways of seeing it - boat, tower, walk behind it, walk down the side of it etc. Unless you have the joy of going on your own or with males, this inevitably means what should be a 20 minute event takes about 7 hours.

Are but we did it on our own staying in one of the hotels on the Canadian side for a few nights.

The roar of the water, even from the 35th floor was still impressive. As was the fact that (going in April) at the start of our stay a lot of it was frozen (inc the Amercian falls). Niagara itself however was disppointing.
