Apparently this is on the red button soon.

Back in the day kids, you'll not believe this, but the Puissance was one of the TV sporting highlights of the year.

Harvey Smith, Michael Whittaker et al, duelling it out jumping over a massive red wall, was edge of the seat stuff (when we only had 2 other channels to watch).

My dad hated Harvey Smith, and would go proper goal scored mental, when he was beaten .

I had the pleasure to know Harvey and Michael quite well during the late 80s . Harvey would have enjoyed your dads comments, he hated yes men and couldn't be arsed with mediocrity, the chances or they would have got pissed together or scrapping.

My Dad always maintained we'd never be an island all the time we are attached to Scotland, Wales and Yorkshire.
So I'd imagine the latter.

(I am considerably mellower!)

Funnily enough when I saw them mention this on Sky the other day I had flash backs to my childhood of late night watching of this on the BBC. Funny how it was really popular and now hardly gets a mention.

I was beginning to think it was just our house, and everybody else was watching something brilliant.

I used to love watching this as well. Remember Harvey having one of his many rows with the judges because they wouldn't raise the wall when two of them were still left in.

Also, why did they always have to jumps smaller fence as well? Pisser if you knocked this down.
