I had the priviledge in being involved in a recruitment process recently with the Lindley Group, the new Amex caterers.

They are doing things the right way with a Root and Branch review of the catering at the Amex.

The training was intensive and they are doing things the right way to improve the service and speed of the Amex catering experience.

They are getting the right people in the right roles. All the youngsters I met were very positive and I am sure after the new caterers have " bedded in " huge improvements will be seen.

Stick with them. They have the right ideas. Customer service, excellence, speed and increasing sales for the benefit of the company and BHAFC.

All the best the Lindley Group.

I'm sure things will definitely improve, but one of the people serving us in WSU (I think we were the first people he served - this was at about quarter to 4 on Saturday) required a translator to take our order, and even then didn't get it right! (Yes, we were speaking English :lolol:)

They have taken over a lot of staff but of the 40 I met, they were without exception very enthusiastic young people so I think the change will be noticeable soon.

Alternatively they could just spend more time following the ESL's lead.

Never had any kind of 'real' problem there, it all seems to run pretty smoothly all things considered.

Plus I seem to remember doing a poll about service standards a little while ago which the ESL comfortably won.

Are they already in place? Quality of service yesterday was excellent yesterday in WSL, I thought.. Friendly and brisk speed.

By "being involved in a recruitment process" do you mean you've applied for a job in one of the kiosks?

They are and and are doing their very best. I hope it works out for them as BHAFC are speaking to several local caterers. From what I saw, they had a great vision for the Amex catering experience.

I was offered a role in a lot of positions and would not feel it " beneath me " to work in the kiosks.

And believe me only about 1 in 4 got selected for a role in the kiosks. There were 4 intensive training sessions to even get selected for this role and anyone that works in the kiosk deserves respect imo.

I wasn't suggesting anything of the sort, I was just trying to clarify what you meant.

It was open ended, there were lots of positions up for grabs and these guys are very serious about this opportunity so I wish them all the best. From what I saw they are very much on the ball.

How long have they been doing it?

I only ask as the staff and service seemed much better since the Hull game on Saturday.

They even had Special Pie's left for sale at full time :wozza:

2 months I guess since Barber binned Azure. Early days but I hope and fully expect things will get much better.

This is the first non film thread I've noticed you on, since our chat on Lincoln/DDL/and you feeling put upon by NSC.

Unless there's 'history' between yourself and Fruity (something I'd find hard to believe) maybe there's a clue above as to why you think you're targeted.

Frutos is fine with me.

Well in my honest opinion they have been worse than Azure up until Saturday.

I hope and expect the improvement will now continue.

Lets hope the staff are on a reasonable wage. The only way to keep good people is to pay them well. Crap money is a huge demotivator especially in a service industry.

Decent money for students which will probably be the way for this kind of role. They told them in no uncertain terms what was expected of them and as I said were very selective about who they offered a role to.

Still no Harveys or Lamb hot-pot pie in WSU 40 minutes before kick off and bloke on till not even apologetic, doesn't bode well for me. Same at Hull game on Saturday.
