Up to 16 police vehicles have flocked to a busy city centre road to deal with a squat disturbance.

Sussex Police were called at 10.28am to deal with the incident and officers are still there.

Reports suggest The Lectern in Lewes Road has been cordoned off.

The pub was made an asset of community value earlier this month after closing down.

There were three police cars parked outside the place a few days ago. My guess is that this is an "incident" that has been accelerating slowly.
