Just thinking about parallels. What division were Reading in when they got their new stadium? At the time, we all scoffed because their fanbase at the time could not even contemplate filling it - 4,000 at Elm Park? Now, after what, eight years' residence there, look where they are.

I always thought that if we got Falmer no lower than League One, we had a very good chance to rebuild (and yes, it's clearly a worry that isn't a given right now). But it won't be easy, and I hope the club realise that. Even getting the final OK is by no means the end of it.

Complacency over crowds flocking back is a massive danger. It has been so long that it will require a huge culture shift among the stayaway fans.

When the time comes I think some of the best money we could spend is to hire one of the marketing guys behind 20/20 cricket, somewhere like Surrey/Lord's, or even of the very successful rugby league outfits, who know how to get people through the door, and almost start from scratch with the hard-core fans almost 'a bonus'.

Most sensible post on here today.

they are not going to win, just delay things more and more, even if we were in the conferece we are still a big club that needs a decent stadium

That is one of our problems a number of supporters are under the delusion that we are a big club. We are not we do not have the fan base to be a 'big club' we could be a Reading or Watford or Wimbledon as they were but we will never be looking at Europe unless a for a days shopping.

We may not have control of what is going on on the pitch but we can influence the future careers of LDC and Baker. The Seagull Party is a start but we need to make sure that we drive Baker and his cronies out of Lewes. A hearts and minds campaign is required in Lewes. Were is belotti now? A note in history - we need to ensure that Baker is confined to the has been section of politics.
