Not sure you’ve quite understood how burden of proof works, chiefThere is no slur. It's the truth.

Don't be stupid. If Labour/Lammy has not taken money from Bibi how can I prove a negative? It is up to you to prove the claim, or it's a slur. There is no slur. It's the truth.

You are a being an arse. Now prove you're not.
That poster has blocked me (and it seems a few other for not agreeing with him).
If someone thinks that payments from donors doesn't influence policy they are being politically naive (that's being polite).
Lammy has substantial received donations from two Israeli lobbyists - Gary Lubner and Trevor Chinn (all on parliamentary record).
Labour MPs have accepted over £280,000 from Israel lobby
Twenty percent of Labour’s sitting MPs have been funded by pro-Israel groups or individuals – including 15 who have been directly funded by the Israeli state.www.declassifieduk.org
Does anyone else see this as odd? I understand it's an easy target but going for people that are actually working seems the wrong place to start.
Nail bars and car washes will be targeted by immigration officers as they step up enforcement action over the summer, the Home Secretary has announced.
Yvette Cooper said 1,000 civil servants had been redeployed from working on the now-abandoned Rwanda scheme to staffing a new “returns and enforcement programme”.
The new programme is intended to “increase returns of those with no right to be here and to make sure rules are respected and enforced” and will see raids on businesses suspected of employing illegal workers ramped up.
Yes it does seem strange to be targeting working environments such as these where perhaps there’s only a small minority of these businesses that will be paying workers cash or indeed be involved in modern slavery.Does anyone else see this as odd? I understand it's an easy target but going for people that are actually working seems the wrong place to start.

Because the last government didn’t really have a clue about what was going on anywhere, feeling it needed to seem strong over fairly minimal problems patronisingly possibly feeling this is what they needed to do to retain the support of red wall voters. So, 2.5% of people migrating to the UK were in small boats. I'm therefore wondering why the last Government was so obsessed with them, when they could presumably have reduced the other 97.5% somewhat if they really wanted to keep immigration down?
There's got to be loads doing SFA in hotels and what not, leave someone who has the whatsits to actually do some work!Yes it does seem strange to be targeting working environments such as these where perhaps there’s only a small minority of these businesses that will be paying workers cash or indeed be involved in modern slavery.
Not really. But it isn't a hill of beans.Does anyone else see this as odd? I understand it's an easy target but going for people that are actually working seems the wrong place to start.

You haven't provided any evidence, you complete arse. I'm putting you and your silly anti-Labour propaganda bollocks on ignore. If you want to liberate Palestine you need allies. You might get some on the left (where I am) but if you carry on appealing to the anti-Jew nutters, your hopes and dreams will be forever dashed.Absolutely and thankyou Borat. It's difficult to have reasoned debate with those who choose to ignore the facts.
That's not how things work in a Court of Law either, so far as I'm aware. The Judge wouldnt normally allow mockery and slander to be thrown by trolls and the ignorant when evidence is provided.

whatever people might think about Sir Keir packing his benches with anti-semites, Zionists, supporters of Hamas, militant Israelis and goodness knows what (make up your minds!), I tend to think that anybody appointed has been appointed because they are good at something or an expert on something. I seem to remember the new attorney general is a Jew, but he is also a top-notch lawyer and barrister - a human rights lawyer - which probably means he is sensible, fair and balanced, or perhaps that should read woke!
despite the Tory protests that Labour “had no plan”, they have hit the ground running and addressed several major issues urgently, appointing well respected experts on issues such as prisons, education, justice, finance. Stephen Timms, who has been vociferous about the “carers” stuff for ages, being given some responsibity in that area because he understands the issue!
Clearly things might go wrong, but they are certainly trying
Nail bars are notorious as places where modern slavery occurs. It would be good if the Home Office target the rogue employers and facilitators and not just the workers.Does anyone else see this as odd? How do you tell the difference between slavery and people wanting to earn a living?Nail bars are notorious as places where modern slavery occurs. It would be good if the Home Office target the rogue employers and facilitators and not just the workers.

Do you think that many of these folk you talk of who want to work are paid paye or do you think it’s a bit of cash in hand? How do you tell the difference between slavery and people wanting to earn a living?
I am sure cash in hand but at least they are trying to do something not just take what's on offer. I would prefer we targeted people who are doing nothing,Do you think that many of these folk you talk of who want to work are paid paye or do you think it’s a bit of cash in hand?
