Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't see this story of a very talented and humble guy. Well worth a watch.

This year's Hyde Park ELO concert follows.

Yes I believe it has been on before and McCartney was about as complimentary about Lynne as I have ever heard him about anyone. I believe he produced that latter day Beatles album a few years ago.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Seen it before - quite good, although he does go on a bit. Not enough original ELO.

And he could at least take those stupid sun glasses off occassionally.

Wonderfully talented and very nice guy - love ELO. That Hyde Park concert looked bloody magical on YouTube anyway.

JL is a great guy and I was lucky enough to see ELO live back in the day. A memorable experience.

The concert ticked every box for me because;
Memories of my youth.
Every band member was really enjoying it as well.
No long solos by each instrument.
No stopping singing to allow the crowd to sing whole verses.
And most importantly close your eyes and you could have been listening to an original recording.
Thats how I like my live concerts.
Brilliant performance.

Quite possibly the best single ever released and one of my favourite fan videos because Lego:

I thought this was a wonderful prog, never realised how many people he had worked with and how many wanted to work with him. I knew about his relationship with Roy Orbison and how he brought him back to mainstream conciousness, but his work with other top stars was an eye opener. Loved the line about his time in The Move.... "We sort of lost touch with Roy Wood and then a few months later he just popped up with Wizzard "
