Trick or treat may be imported (I don't know) but Halloween is not.
Totally agree, halloween was a nothing event back in the 1960s and 1970s, maybe bob for apples and that's it. It seemed to take off in the 1980s. I blame Thatcher.I hate it. Americanised bollocks. No one gave a toss when I was young

I know a lot of Americans think we don't do Halloween 'properly', but then they don't do Bonfire Night 'properly' - they have it in the middle of summer!
The whole world looks to america. Just accept it, it's happening and there is nothing thats going to stop it. We have little identity left as a country. And to be honest copying america isn't such a bad thing
its all americanised, we r slowing getting the crap from over there to over here, schools are now doing proms etc, we never had that when we were at school, just a good old disco, unfortulty i have4 children aging from 2 - 9 and have had them wanting to go out trick or treating, i am TOTALLY AGAINST IT.
Don't agree. Time to fight back. Even British beer is bashing shit larger sells now.
I'm so bored with the USA The Clash
real ale is quite big in usa i have heard, so surely a good thing.
The fact is though the kids of today are talking and acting more like americans prob more than ever before. Mainly due to films tv etc.
i have several eggs lined up waiting to retaliate and some more nasty stuff for those who really take the piss
I am at home now and will keep you updated as to developements
surely u won't use them on the poor little 8yr old kids
