I met a Massive supporter on holiday last week, a young bloke. All he knew of our story was that we’re the best run club, our exemplary player recruitment, the club others try to replicate. He was envious.

I gave him the brief history making it all the more remarkable …. the land thief from the other side of the Pennines, the folk who saved us.

The most goosebumps moment in your time? I keep coming back to this. [Despite being at all the promotion games since 77 including SJP and the Millennium Stadium]. Love the commentary.

Storer, Stuart Storer...............................

The exhilaration as that went in, was something I will never forget, followed by tears on the pitch..

Special mention to the naked man dancing on the East terrace.

Ive just watched the Storer clip you posted. Obviously Ive seen it loads of times - and was a regular that year at The Goldstone (though I couldn't get a ticket for the final game....was outside the ground, took my small son over to the play area opposite in Hove Park to "monitor the noise" and be close.... ). And inexplicably, today, I found myself crying whilst watching the clip. Christ ... Im in my 60s !! And yet the emotions .... good grief.

Was there live Radio Brighton/Sussex commentary at that time, with Millard? I think there was, from the 70's onwards.

Thank God there was no VAR in those days. It's the clearest foul ever by Maskell on the keeper.

Like you, I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing it

And the Doncaster players didn't appear to complain  . These days there'd be a posse around the ref for an eternity.
I think they knew they themselves were safe by then, due to Leyton Orient being 2-0 up against Hereford. I also remember Donny had a shot from the edge of the box with a couple of minutes to go where their player dragged it wide of the post. It almost looked deliberate as if they just wanted to be able to leave the pitch in one piece!

A little reminder of bygone days....

I am sure I have seen this before, many moons ago.

always worth a reality check when moaning about being 11th in the Premier League.

Bloody hell. Some very familiar faces there.
