Can't see how anyone can think the above is a bad thing?

Point taken, but perhaps we should worry less about the context of the songs and when they are used, and more about creating an awesome atmosphere like today's again at the next match.

I am not suggesting that the club somehow manufacture this song into being sung regularly, its just it was cracking today, and I would enjoy to experience it again.

It was a great atmo because it was better than alot of the games so far. If it was that level every game we would not have a high from todays spontaneous support.
you need the lows for the highs:moo:

Well from a north stand perspective I thought it was brilliant! To a man I'm proud of the boys today....best atmos at the Amex since the opening day

From WSU, it was the best atmosphere for a long time.

Strangely, hoards of Response Stewards appeared monitering parts of the crowd, even though it was all so good natured in that spell.
Looking to identify and ban passionate fans? But hard to ban 15,000 s/t holders for all standing up.

I know! Maybe I was waving my scarf in a provocative manner?

Don't be daft about the stewards. Of course they're going to keep an eye on things, the atmosphere had been ramped right up and it was easily possible that somebody, somewhere, might cross a line. That's their job.

I realise occasionally people are going to get slung out and that it's fashionable to take the piss out of the stewards, but it's a bit lame to start moaning about them when they haven't actually done anything wrong. If they'd actually booted anyone out unfairly, fine, but seeing as it appears they didn't, it's pretty juvenile to criticise them because they MIGHT have done

And the "Put Your Hands Up For Brighton" is nothing to do with the Albion, whoever moaned about that. It's a Fatboy Slim remix of a Fedde Le Grand tune. Jesus, sometimes people just whine about nothing on here.

Even the steward in WSU joined in the Great Escape clapping so that says something for the atmosphere it generated.

I thought the stewarding was fine today obviously they were going to be a bit more cautious the atmosphere did get a bit heated, imagine if that had been Palace or Portsmouth. First time I've seen the steward in the family stand talk to people but he simple asked them to sit down no more I always thought he was a mannequin.

This. The steward I spoke to said they were given instructions just to monitor and not to worry about getting people sit down as soon as the second red card was shown. Sensible stewarding.

also....a heck of a lot more people stood up for ''if u hate the referee'' than stand up if u hate crystal palace...was brilliant...although what wud u hav taken..all 11 players on the pitch and not as gd an atmosphere?

Never had a problem with it, and today I thought they were excellent, highly charged atmosphere, almost intimidating at times and a heavy handed response by the stewards would only have served to heighten it.

Well played by the stewards today...!!!

It was really great. Sitting in west lower we didn't join in at first, just enjoyed hearing the noise swelling from the north and west upper. Those two stands were out of time with each other to start, but then it merged, you could see the east join in en masse and then the west lower and large parts of the 1901 joined and it just went on and on and on. It was like one of our away crowds reproduced at home. And it turned what was a fairly disappointing experience into one of the best.

It was brilliant. A steward did have to politely ask me to not stand on my seat and bounce. I duly obliged. Great song, incredible atmosphere. The north stand was simply mindblowingly brilliant yesterday, in fact the whole bloody stadium was. What a way to lift the boys, we were the 10th, 11th AND 12th man.

It was brilliant and just seemed to get louder and louder. Best of all it was spontaneous. Wouldn't really want it incorporated into the Albion songbook tho.

You mean the book with one song in it

Absolutely I couldn't agree more.

Really felt like we were part of something big today. Like the JCL's, the moaning old gits and everybody inbetween were united behind our team.

If we can keep this level of support going, no doubt we will be the best supported team in the land.
