Long ago and worlds apart,
The end was all that we could see,
We'd missed the port and were awash, all at sea,
The Captain was crazed and the sails lain in shreds,
We all shivered, awaiting the end in our beds...

Then with the dawn, the Captain grew strong,
The sails repaired, we rose to the worst of the raging seas,
We steered for home, with renewed vigour and belief...

We sighted land and heard the Captain roar,
Alas in our joy, good men one and all,
Came the rocks that tore the hull asunder...
Tears in my eyes as the waves drew us under.

All good men, we sailed the sea,
All good men doubting our worth,
Returned to the sea, salt of the earth...

Just when the light faded from my eye,
A current took my body and soul...
Awoken by shaking hands, lying prone in golden sands...
I struggled to stand, to comprehend... nay understand...

Just when the end was all around,
I gathered my strength and the joy of life...
Utterly overwhelmed me...

As ever Tom, you seperate the wheat from the chaff with such industrial efficiency, to finally and utterly convince me that Thomas Malthus was indeed very, very wrong.

Indeed Tom, Rock and Roll. This situation, or perhaps shituation, reminds me of 1973 when the mighty Deep Purple MKII were torn (ahem) asunder. How the fans cried, how it would be impossible any "new" line up could compare... How wrong they were... Along came Burn... along came the best album of 1974...

And as for Gus... "You fool no one..." or "Mistreated" hmmmmm... I suspect Gus has been a wee bt of a bad Gus... imagine Bag Puss... but evil... oh and how Emily loved him... Shame on you Gus, you saggy old cloth bad cat you!

Sad days, but spring and summer will follow... as the dawn follows the night before... breathe the air... hear the PEOPLE ROAR!

So if Gus is Bag Puss and the mice, well, the players: who does that make wiley old Prof Yaffle?!? hmmm...

I am the Master of The Universe
The winds of change are flowing through me
And it's all moving relative to me
It's all a figment of my mind
In a world that i've designed
Charged with cozmic energy
But, has the world gone mad - or is it me?

I'm sorry Doug - Are you requesting more? Or perhaps after 32,724 posts you've simply decided to say it like others see it. I suspect, however, a two word insult is the best you can muster, and this afloat in an almost infinite ocean of possibility.

Mr Birkin, thank you kind sir... I oft see myself a little like Spike Milligan (as in the character he's portraying) in the Life of Brian... I'm glad one or perchance, dare I say it?!? two are smiling with me.

Actually when you look at it; that clip sums up this board more eloquently than a 100000 keyboard warriors or fools like me ever could.

Yep, that clip fits perfectly, I'm nowhere near as eloquent as your good self, but I love posting quirks or absurdities. I find humour in uncomfortable silences after saying something odd at work or posting some silly or odd things on here and getting little or no replys.
Anyway, i look forward to another Kosh post very soon.

what an interesting thread tucked into a sea of madness. the good ship albion is in far better shape to deal with a bit of turbulence than it has been in many a year. i am enjoying standing at the front with the salt wind in my face while many of my fellow travellers are heaving over the sides.
