Do you drive past or shop there?

I drive past on occasions but will never again set foot on the ground that is now a retail park. I felt strongly enough to promise myself that the day I left the Doncaster game and nothing has changed, for me anyway.

I have never driven past it, and I don't think I will until we have a new permanent home. It makes me too angry

It's not the shops fault.....blame Archer and co. They sold the ground to a commercial development company who built the units. They were then leased to the shops.

Get over it and move on

Move on.

I drive past it,on it,over it.Ive been in Curry's,Toys'r'us,and Burger King.

It felt a bit strange for the first few years, and i still get emotional when i look at it and picture what used to be there, but its a bit sad if people still cant evern drive past the place.

Get over it is the wrong answer, as is getting over the three barstewards. We need to remember, expecially if you were there and old enough to comprehend what was going on during those dark days.

Have driven past on a handful of occasions. No intention to ever shop there. Although that's not to say I wouldn't, depends on circumstances.

My kids think I'm bonkers because I refuse to set foot there. Maybe they're right.
I had to go there once (long boring story, but basically had no choice) about 5 years ago and I felt physically sick.
It would take a shotgun to force me back there again.

People deal with grief in many different ways, to say get over it and to hell with the boycott may work for some, but not all...that must be respected.

Personally I can't drive past that retail park, maybe my opinion will change when we have moved into Falmer, but the trials and tribulations of what has happened to our club will not slip easily from my mind.

Will I ever shop at Focus...never, never, never...it would be like sleeping with the devil.

My mum lives on Old Shoreham Rd so not driving past is not really an option. I don't shop there because it would be too upsetting not because of the boycott.

Its up to the individual isn't it. I dont blame people for not going there or not being able to drive past it. I, myself do go there and have bought stuff from the shops there. I dont personally attach any blame to Toys R Us, Comet etc. as if they hadnt opened up there someone else would have. Chartwell on the other hand can go f*** emselves!!!

I still get a strange feeling when I go there though and I dont like the fact that there is no statue or something like that to say what used to be there.

I actually quite like going there because it bring back so many great memories of times gone past. As has already been said, ToysrUs & Co aren't to blame for our history. Stanley and Bellotti are.

Get over it.

Same as that. I still feel gutted when I go near the old place or look for too long at the framed picture on my wall, but you can move on without forgetting and if it was the only place I could get my hands on a particular item I'd head there without hesitation.

GRIEF?! Grief is losing a loved one, not a bloody football ground.

Reckon you need to add 'reality check' to your Christmas list. :jester:

I never went near the place until the Albion came back to sussex and my first visit was very strange, But now i'm just the same as you in that when I go there I think of all the great times I had and all the great players I witnessed in the Albion's colours.

I have been into Curry's once, but that was to ensure a family member got their money back on something. So I felt that actually taking money from the company was a bit of an achievement. I will drive past, but I won’t spend a penny there, I have no problem with the companies and will shop in all these stores elsewhere, but to me the Goldstone is sacred ground. A place of great memories of many family generations, so just to say get over it, I wont, ever! I'm not rocking in a chair and crying about it, but it’s purely a principle thing with me.

This is how it still looks to me..
