Talking of hypocrisy,I see St.Greta of Thunberg has borrowed Cor Bin's trick of pretending to sit on the floor of an over-crowded Deutsche Bahn train for her journey.Shame they already had pics of her in 1st Class.Loonies never learn!

And that's relevant to this conversation, how?

I know that Alt-Right / Right = Brexit support = Climate Change Denial = Hate for Greta.

Why do YOU dislike her, just out of interest?

Had a member of my own family in their 70's slagging off Greta at the weekend

I'm afraid its par for the course in a certain group, a bit sad really

Tories = hypocrisy.

Nicky Morgan announced she would stand down as an MP, but now retains her job as Culture Secretary, as a peer.

Thanks goodness we're escaping all those unelected bureaucrats in Brussels and their lack of democratic accountability.

And what is wrong with that if its much cheaper and more efficient.

Really? You live in Sussex and don't know what's going on in your own area?

Coperforma were given the private contract for non emergency patient transport in Sussex. That includes disabled people and those going for dialysis. 7 (SEVEN) months later they were wound up.

Coperforma, which admitted it had "badly let down" patients, is the subject of a compulsory strike-off notice reported at Companies House.

During its seven-month tenure last year the service was also criticised for non-payment to sub-contractors.

It was taken over by the South Central Ambulance Service in November 2016.

God you have to be f*cking kidding me? Guy loses his seat and straight into Lords? Words fail me.....

Aren't these just temporary arrangements whilst Johnson prepares for his spring purge?

They do highlight the absurdity of our constitutional arrangements though.

Life peerages are hardly 'temporary arrangements'. Its almost as if the Tories are sticking two fingers up at all of us.... jeez

i wonder if you were concerned in 1997-2005, when smaller votes for Labour lead to large number seats and majority? think of all those Conservatives and Liberals who had no voice.

Its a very fair point.... and I think those of us in favour of electoral reform have always been in favour of it.... but don't you also think its fair to say that the left and centre left parties form a grouping, and the right and centre right parties form a grouping, and one thing that has been true right through those elections that you mention is that the left and centre left percentage of the vote has been over 50%

That poor girl will eventually burn herself out, and could even suffer mental health issues with all the pressure she is putting on herself later on. Why are the responsible adults not telling her to wind it down a bit. The sad bit is her getting so angry, and frightening the hell out of teenagers.

She's getting nowhere near as angry as many old men are at her mere existence, Donald Trump being a prime example.

The main people getting really angry are the pale, male and stale brigade...

My teenager is inspired by her, not scared. I think you're the frightened one, but then that's par for the course with you.

The 'line them up against the wall' comment was a bit of an unfortunate gaffe that wont help with her popularity tbf.

The idiom has a different meaning in Swedish. Simple as that.

Again, if you are more scared of a 16 year old girl than of the prospect that Brighton could be under water in a generation or two then you have your priorities wrong.

Erm...i've got nothing against the girl at all. I just pointed out an unfortunate gaffe, which it was. If you want to be involved in global politics you need to choose your words a little more carefully, thats all.

Why, in this day and age, does it take over a day in Parliament to swear all the new MPs in? Haven't we got things to be getting on with before Christmas?

(I appreciate this is not the fault of anyone, it's just a bit weird).

Unfortunate gaffes like calling black people "piccaninnies with water melon smiles"? Or comparing Islamic women to letterboxes?

Unfortunate gaffes like calling Mexicans rapists, inferring that John McCain, who was tortured as a POW wasn't a war hero, or that you can just grab women by the pussy?

By temporary I was referring to the two individuals' ministerial appointments. If you're saying that our system of democracy is shot to pieces than I completely agree with you. And they are sticking two fingers up at us.
