For the first time in nearly a century we not members.I will still be watching starting with Sunderland v Derby tonight.hope for a good game but no idea who will win.
My prediction for promotion is Fulham and middlesboro with Norwich via the playoffs.

Queue the 'We were in the First Division in 1983' not realising that it was then part of the football league

I love the hurly-burly of the Championship too, but as much as l'll miss it, l hope l won't be seeing it face to face for a good few years yet.

The FL radar stopped working, the moment Albion were promoted.
Then the PL radar kicked in, and WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE

What a great feeling - seeing the start of the League today and us not being a part of it, knowing we start in the Premier League next week.

Quite an interesting little fixture to start with tonight. Sunderland could be absolutely dreadful which would be amusing but Derby also seem to specialise in not living up to their highly-ratedness. Both now have managers that would appear to belie those reputations. I'm calling 0-0.

Would you still find it all dull, if the Albion had PL quality players and clocked up regular wins?

Premier League is the dullest most predictable league (Leicester excepted) in the country. Top 7 pretty much set in stone and the also rans looking for 40 points to ensure survival.

Sunderland v Derby

Derby County have got very much like their 2013-14 team that did quite well getting to a minute of the Premier League. All the players a bit more experienced, i.e. older.

Best team that did not get promoted out of the Championship in recent years and my tip to win it this season. Much stronger in depth of squad than that season as well. A point would be a terrific result for Sunderland. Hardest game of the season.

Derby lined up in their favourite 4-3-3 as well.
