[Albion] The feeling a bit sick thread

Anyone...?

I actually felt physically sick (caused entirely by the Albion) for the first time (in years, and I mean bloody ages) when we missed the second pen... not since the dark days of league 2 have I felt that feeling. Hopelessness, that’s it...

Deserving to win (time and time again) and contriving to lose is a level of footballing misfortune I can’t quite get to grips with. If we were simply shit so be it, but this (and I hate to admit it, given the very serious nature of the real world right now) has got to me, I’ve lost my shit and I’m off for a cry in the bog.

I started to have that feeling just before we took the second pen, like it was our destiny to miss. Again. I just thought prove me wrong and put it away! Felt even worse after though with that empty sinking feeling

i have well and truly . . . HAD ENOUGH!

Yep.

This will not do.

Judging by Dunky’s remarks, we’re not the only ones hurting like hell.

I mean how ****ing unlucky are we being? It’s ludicrous... it’s Gypsy curse territory I tells yer!

How do you get around zero luck and an incompetent ref and a cheat on VAR?

You accept that you are fecked imo

Yep - it’s looking like we’re ****ed.

Our luck has evaporated. It’s over.

Luton and Massive here we come.

I think this today, plus the Palace injustice is a pretty brutal feeling. Can’t imagine what it feels like for the players.

Missing 2 penalties is inexcusable for me and I’m livid with the team.

That said, despite our feeling right now... we’re not relegated yet. We still have the best GD. Still clear of the dropzone and a lot of points to play for.

Yes, I feel sick.

Im not blaming Potter or the players, but it’s not been much fun lately.

I agree in part, but we do need a massive (titanic) change of luck.

I’m not sure, however, if indeed we do scrape it how much I’d look forward to another scraping next season... I’m struggling to look forward to season after season of relative struggle...

it’s just not that fun or entertaining - it’s sad really, all I ever dreamt of we’ve pretty much achieved and yet I’m left feeling empty inside... as the golden coins slip through my fingers, akin to grains of sand. The tighter I clutch the more I seem to lose.

Is there a curse, well? Is there?

I’m going back in, I can feel some more uncontrollable weeping coming on...

I got a red card at home.

It was decided that my mood was not compatible with a family environment so I trudged off to the woods with the dog via the offie for booze and fags (I’m not a smoker) to calm the **** down and collect my thoughts.

Creating the chances we do in the Premier League is astonishing. With the finishing we enjoyed under Hughton from the likes of Murray, Groß & Izzy, we’d be taking about the possibility of European football but this disease of missing chances first took hold in the Utd home game and has convinced all of our players that they can’t score, f***, it’s even convinced referees to blow the c***ing whistle if the ball goes in the back of the net for no apparent reason other than the shock of us scoring.

My only consolation is that we’ve really played well against the good sides and that could be our way out of this mess. Sam and his boys will go to bed tonight so pleased with the 3 points but aware that they are going to have to be the luckiest team in the division EVERY MATCH to escape; Fulham are also draw specialist and won’t overhaul us.

Time to pick up the positives.

But you do wonder how Bloom, Barber and co. are going to tackle this horrific disease of not being able to finish any chances. I now think that Maupay, Connolly & Trossard are too gone to be saved. We should get rid of them & Welbeck (too expensive with his injury record and finishing) and re-invest in a new front line full of confidence with the millions & millions we’ll get from selling Biss & White.

Not feeling great, just said I don't fancy any dinner.

Although I would like to know more about the second whistle, I won't watch MOTD as I don't want to relive this afternoon.

That’s a post.

Totally agree.

We need a front end rebuild... right now I’d drop all of them and play Tau and Zeqi and fast ...

GP desperately needs to stop doing the same thing again and again and again whilst expecting a different outcome! Actually I’d even pick the bloke wandering passed the stadium on Tuesday morning, anyone but the same proven failures... especially those with destroyed self belief and zero confidence.

Otherwise we’ll be very lucky to survive. And luck (or so it would appear) has left our club for dead.
