Can someone please explain why and where all these extra thousand sof fans will come from when Falmer is built if we are still doing poorly on the field.

I saw an obscene post on here earlier caliming we would be getting 18k a week when it's built maybe first few game sor so - but if the team are losing people still won't go - even in better facilities - whatever people say they won't be cheaper to attend than Withdean - so if we are still bottom of league one why will people come?

As i've said people wil judge the Albion on results and if the ticket policy is still a hassle e.g not paying on gate i can't see crowds getting much better unless results do - and if crowds don't get better we'll have no more cash potentially less with a massive debt over our heads. The playing side must be financed and soon.

All the tripe of big invetsors why would a big investor want a poor league one side when there are plenty of championship premier sides available?

There will be an initial surge of interest, because of the curiosity factor, and the fact that the large number of sleeping fans will finally be woken up by the fact that we will have a stadium that we're not ashamed of.

Yes, it will drop off afterwards if the team's not winning, but it will still improve attendances to a point, nearly all clubs with new stadia report better crowds.

The higher capacity *should* also enable the club to be more creative with their marketing/pricing too.

At the moment, floating fans are discouraged by the fact that you can't pay on the gate, and even if you do buy a ticket, it's not like you can go and stand with your mates like you could at the Goldstone.

With a larger ground, it would enable some sections of unallocated seating, in which the people who tend to make a decision on a Saturday afternoon (a whole generation of fans the Albion has lost) can come along and sit with who they want.

As far as i'm concerned it's a perfectly reasonable question. Just thinking about how the club will finance improving the playing side - will it borrow more against it's assets e.g Flamer in the hope that improving the playing side will bring more people in?

Funnily enough though this "great dirty Northern slum" as you put it got a spanking great new stadium without to much hassle.

I reckon Goring beats 1066 as the number 1 attention seeker on here.

When and if Brighton get Falmer there will obviously be a swell in attendances due to the novelty factor of having a new ground but i think 18k is stretching the imagination a bit far to be honest.

it really depends what division we're in to be honest, and whether the team is doing well

an example would be the swindon game- it probably would've been near to full for that, same with the chesterfield game

some of our games in the championship would be near to full, especially the palace games, and games against big clubs

IF we made it to the prem, i'd imagine it'd be near to full pretty much every game

on average, however, i'd say 10,000-12,000 is a decent estimation

How can asking a perfectly good question about fans / revenue /new ground etc be - sticking the boot into Falmer - Attention seeking?

Did i say we wouldn't get higher crowds at first ? No.

Did i state crowds wouldn't increase? No

Even though it not pay on the gate, looking at the way West Ham do it you have a credit card type ticket which you can purchase your seat via internet and when your card is scaned you get in.

With your expertise at an Internet Cafe you would be able to travel to Brighton and purchase a ticket up to about 2 o clock or even later and then go to the ground. They may even have internet access at the ground to do it.

our games that we HAD in the championship(last year, year before that and 2 years before that) would get those gates

IF we made it to the prem(wigan/reading stylee) we'd get close to filling it(hell, we MUST have more fans than f***ing reading)
