This will not happen as the Premiershite clubs would not allow it but........

Why not leave FIFA? Why not leave UEFA? We are not going to see the World Cup in England in my lifetime, our national side cannot perform in major tournaments, our game at club level is being destroyed by expensive foreign imports and most fans of most clubs couldn't give a shit about the Champions League.

We could unilaterally leave the international governing bodies causing the media to investigate even harder. This MIGHT get the backing of other major European domestic associations?

We could then concentrate on our own domestic competitions, and on nurturing our own home grown talent. Whilst this happening we could stop the bankrupting of our own clubs.

This is never gonna happen, but it is nice to dream.

What would we be "nurturing our own talent" for if we had resigned from International competitions?

Truth is, if there is a cull, then it's because a host of leading football nations all resign en bloc and set up their own alternative body, and alternative club and Internation competitions. Could happen as there are a lot of greedy men within the EPL who are probably looking very enviously at the power and money FIFA are swilling around in right now.

Not true. As mentioned on the first thread on the subject...

...if FIFA tried to ban European players from playing in England, the European Court of Justice would simply strike it down as violating free movement principles and give them an enormous fine for being so stupid. There would even be a case for challenging any order by FIFA to European teams not to play us at an international level.

I agree with this, despite my displeasure with FIFA (and UEFA to a degree)...the best thing would be to force change from within, we suspect that FIFA is rotten from the top down, lets force this out into the open and expose the fraudsters. If we can do this and end up with a governing body that is totally transparent in everything it does, including the process for selecting host countries, we will have done World football a great service.
