The concept of the draw is fundamental to football.

Also, can you IMAGINE the increase in the number of touchline bans, red and yellow cards that will follow? The scenes between Arsenal and Chelsea in the League Cup final will be a regular, weekly occurence because of the forcing of a result.

Also, any move to incorporate extra time or penalties will favour the bigger boys with larger squads of players, and all of the key issues like titles, European places and relegation will be decided by the ability to score/save penalties. Ridiculous.
