I can't remember what jnr got for my £4.50 last time, but I remember it being 'odd'.

Yesterday Jnr and Little Miss Jnr, each got a regular pie, (there has never been any mini ones), a fruit shoot drink, a kingsize duo chocolate bar, and one of the boxes had a bloody great big orange rammed into it.

I can't wait for the Middlesborough game.

Little Miss Bozza just goes for the hot dog, a la carte. The value proposition sounds like going for the kids' meal if you get a load of other stuff bundled in for next to nowt.

Noted for the future!

The problem is you never know what.

I'm waiting for Jnr to be handed a pint of Harveys. It's about the only thing they've not given him

It used to be food, Oreos, drink and pointless inflatable plastic thing.
One time they didn't have any Oreos so jnr was given a family sized bag of wine gums.

It's not all good, once he had a hot dog cut in half, which didn't go down well.

Lol, my boy come back with one and it had half a cheeseburger, an orange and a bottle of Fanta as they had no fruit shoots!

I think he likes the randomness of them although the fact the burger was dry and hard such that he literally couldn't eat it might have changed that a bit yesterday!

Kids equivalent of pie roulette then

It is quite funny not knowing what you are going to get. You think at least at the food counters that serve the Family Stand they would at least attempt to get a consistent Kids meal out on sale but on more than one occasion I have got to the front of the queue to be met by some spotty herbert who gives me a blank look when I ask for a kids meal. I have even had to tell them what goes in it on 2 occasions and they just pile it in the box (dependent on what random food items they have to hand) without checking and take my money. I might just start making it up and see what I can get away with! To be fair, my two boys never stop bloody eating anyway so I always take a bag full of snacks and equally random food, the kids meals are like a funfair lucky dip extra.

In WSU, north end, about 16;30, when I asked what was in a Kids Meal, they offered me half a pie (literally a regular pie cut in half) and a blackcurrant fruitshoot... for £4.50!

No mention of chocolate, fruit or anything else.

Titanic jnr (aged 21) had a burger instead - which was quite nice.

My chicken pie, as usual, was hot and delicious.

Can I just make one thing very clear to the club.

I'M NOT COMPLAINING.

Please don't take this on board and think I'm asking for uniform kids meals.
I love the jeopardy.

Anyone else reading this thread thinking, "I'll definitely order myself a kid's meal next time"?

the kids meals used to be very good. in fact, a kid's box burger was significantly better value than a burger since the burgers are the same as a "normal" burger order and came with a drink, oreos, clappy hands and something else (fruit?).

but they are random in the extreme now. my boys asked for a burger kids box yesterday and were presented with a hot dog and a drink. when i asked how a hot dog could be confused with a burger the fella looked at me like i was an alien. and everything else was missing

Like I say it's proper jeopardy.

I like to think my constant praising of the ESU food service, stands me in good stead for kids meal lucky dip.

and yes great service once again, yesterday.

My boy wasn't impressed with the kids meal yesterday. It was half a hot dog (in a rather tired-looking roll), fruitshoot and an orange - what happened to the chocolate? But as the WSU had run out of hot dogs by 6.15, we had no choice.

I wasn't too impressed with the server having to go to ask her supervisor what a kids meal was - there aren't that many items on the menu, surely she should have taken this on board before HT
